Another stellar cover of a classic alt-rock song, love it! Sam’s work on the drums really added a lot of punch to this track, and Audra and the boys have long proven that they can take just about any song and make it their own ❤
I have to say that when Natalie's video came out, I was instantly in love.
F211 did not disappoint. The band rocked it out a bit, and Audra's voice is on point! I love this cover.

Torn by Natalie Imbruglia is one of my favourite songs ever. So amazing!
Little known fact:
The song was originally written by Ednaswap in 1991, but they didn't record it.
The first recorded version was by Lis Sørensen, in Danish, under the title "Brændt", in 1993 (czcams.com/video/jyuGaU4rXjA/video.html)
Ednaswap then decided to record it in 1995, in English.
In 1996 it was recorded by Trine Rein.
And in 1996, the Imbruglia version was then released, and swept the charts.
Since then it has been recorded by numerous artists ... and now by my favourite band! :D

@@randywhite3947 At the time of release, I looked it up. There were four within a year. Wikipedia has a decent rundown of Imbruglia's version and the original, it mentions the Dutch version too. It would take more digging than I have time to find all the others. This song is a great example of how music is morphed in the public eye based on how successful a version is. Much like all works of Nina Simone. She gets way too little credit for shaping our musical world. (Also, I realize you were just trying to point out that "the original" was an improper way to phrase my original comment. Thanks for opening that can of worms. It's a good point.)

"Torn" was written in 1991 by Scott Cutler and Anne Preven with producer Phil Thornalley as a solo song for Preven. Cutler and Preven's band Ednaswap performed it live, but did not initially release a recording.

Oh man. First to Eleven covering the official theme song of 1998. It's funny because they are too young to understand how immensely this song oversaturated the airwaves back then.
They were born around 2000 to 2001, so they were most likely familiar with it.
That's the way it was back then. The ones like me who were in highschool, didn't have a cd player, and sat in wait for the best songs to play over the air. The whole time hoping the commercials would just take a break instead of the music.
