Cut-Rate Commander - Episode 93 - Featuring Judith, Carnage Connoisseur from Murders at Karlov Manor #mtg #edh #commander #mtgkarlov
Hey Folks! Submitted for your approval, we have our 2nd Cut-Rate Commander build for Murders at Karlov Manor - this time covering the Grand Dame of the Cult of Rakdos - Judith, Carnage Connoisseur.
In this build, we’ll of course be aiming to generate as much value of Judith ability to empower/generate value off of the spells we cast by a) running a solid arsenal of both single target and AOE damage dealing sources that, thanks to Judith, become able to remove any creature regardless of sized to help keep the board clear while padding our life totals in the process, and b) a variety of cheap, value and draw oriented spells to enable Judith to build up our board with token bodes as we dig for more spells to cast. That, coupled with even more spell slinger payoffs to inflict more burn onto our opponents and even a handful of life gain payoffs that allow us to convert that life again into even more damage - should give our build all the resources necessary to tear apart our opponents life point in a show of carnage that Judith herself would find quite pleasing.

Raphael adds lifelink to your imps and can get you a lesser version when you feed them to your spells.
What do you think about adding expedited Inheritage for insane amounts of Impulse draw? And Fall of Cair Andros?
i love your deck techs, but more specifically, i really appreciate the little lore sections at the start. it helps add some context to the deck i wouldn’t otherwise have known
The fact that she makes all those one mana red commons into the most ridiculous one mana wraths is absolutely insane.
And I love every second of it tbh. Burn/Destruction is my most favorite playstyle in TCG's and Judith is right up my alley
My Judith deck always runs out of gas! This is awesome. I love the way you breakdown the card types as well as the effects to see the number of each effect included. It really helps give me a better perspective for what I want to put in the deck. Awesome job!
I'm glad I found this channel. I've never been good at building decks mostly due to not knowing how to synergize cards. Going to try out some of these decks definitely

Fantastic video as always! I'd personally include Backdraft Hellkite in the build as well, both as a recursion for our spells and also because every deck deserves a dragon. Another possible high price upgrade could be Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, making all the burns in the build even stronger. For future videos, I'd really love to see an Aurelia, The Law Above deck, both her and Judith were in my opinion the most interesting commanders in the set.

We have someone who has this in our play group already. Every pod he plays, he always get targeted first. This commander sadly makes makes games into archenemy until she’s removed
I got a foil Dossier of her in a booster, and I fell in love INSTANTly (ha,) and started doing research right away. I'm new to Magic and just understanding how you break down the decks is insanely helpful in my learning. Thanks for all the effort and excellent content.

Judith is a great addition for Rakdos! Blood Funnel can be a good cost reducer in this deck too

Man, I'd love to see a Glissa, Herald of Predation deck guide. Such an underrated commander, combining incubate and infect all while making your middling creatures punch through with first strike and deathtouch.
I would like to see Voja, Jaws of the Conclave as a commander in the next pool!

After seeing your builds on the latest ravnica decks it got me wondering if you would do a Vs series where you make decks designed to be played together e.g you go over the 10 guilds of ravnica that are balanced against each other sorta like a battlebox

I made a Zoyowa, Lava Tongue deck. It’s mainly there to be annoying to each opponent but I feel like I’m missing more recursion from my graveyard. I watched your Mycotyrant vid and was seeing what I was missing, but still feels like I’m missing something. Any ideas on what I can do?
Hey, I was hoping you might cover Lara Croft in a future episode? I got the secret lair but as I've been theory crafting the commander deck I realized the card is just trying to do too many different things and I just can't find a way to make the deck enjoyable to play for myself.
You always seem to make very good decks on a good budget so I figured I'd ask so I can feel like I didn't waste my money on the drop 😅

For wipes like Blasphemous Act Or Chain Reaction you don’t gain all that life because the first instance of damage to each creature would kill it right?
No you deal all the damage but 1 damage is enough to kill the creature. That's two different things
