I’m struggling exactly the same way as Dave did. I love my fishing and it really does relax me so much! Paul and Bob are legends
Keep up the fight, buddy.
Be proud of where you are and be strong for where you’re going.
The world needs you, my friend. 🙏❤️
@@BionicRusty thank you so much for your kind words I really do appreciate the message!! Thank you
Working in mental health and having volunteered for The Samaritans, I'd just like to say that always, always give yourself a break and have something to look forward to, no matter how small 🙏
@@deansummerton2577 thank you so much Dean… 🙏
❤
I cannot thank you guys enough for the conversations regarding aging, health & mental health… I have found that my senior years are not what I had expected. You gentlemen genuinely help & you should know it. Thank you both! DON’T REEL!!!!
Boys, we love you.
Please, never stop. ❤️
Big thumbs up to you all 👍especially to Dave.
I have every episode and like to watch a couple before bed helps me de-stress and sleep well.
Well done Dave.👏🏻
This therapist approves! Time outside, healthier coping habits, and doing enjoyable and relaxing activities, especially with others, can be more effective than any textbook therapy or medication. Good for you mate
Well done Dave. Thanks guys for letting Dave have his say, it will help many people. Wish there would have been a Dave around before I lost my brother many moons ago.
Thinking of you, friend. I too lost a dear friend [hands together emoji]
I find spending time in the great outdoors (even when not fishing), very therapeutic.
I also live with anxiety (especially social anxiety (and depression)), but spending time outdoors in nature, especially with the doggo, helps massively and, dare I say, helps put things into perspective.
Thank you Bob and Paul for this wonderful programme (I watch many episodes repeatedly), and thank you to Dave for sharing and fighting the good fight.
Take care all,
Wishing you all the very best
Dave & Buddy* (*the doggo)👍

I love this show it always makes me laugh and cry😂&😢 it's only on 30 mins I wish it was 60 minutes instead👍❤❤
Well done Dave.👏👏👏
Nice one Dave, a true inspiration.
I love Bob Mortimer, and I know he's suffered with depression in the past. I hope he knows how beloved he is by people. He's made me laugh since I was 13 and I'm always cheered up after watching him. I'd really recommend watching Catterick. It's so funny.
And Paul is great. I loved him in The Fast Show as Ron Manager and the dodgy geezer etc. And he comes across as a really genuine guy. So funny but kind too. Gone Fishing is just a super show! Long may it continue...
I can say with 100% certainty that fishing is good for your mental health. ❤😊
Well done Dave👍👏❤
I really, REALLY hope that everyone involved in this show - particularly Bob and Paul for being kind enough to open themselves up publicly - knows just how special this is and what a service they’re doing.
Unquestionably, this show will save lives.
People, especially men, will go to the doctors with physical and mental symptoms because of how this programme and its gentle, and relatable warmth, humour and compassion drags these health issues into the light and smashes the stigma.
I love everyone who has done their part to bring this little gem to our screens. ❤
Fantastic! These discussions should be happening more and more - currently in Australia we loose 6 men per DAY to suicide and it’s just too many..
The more shows like this that make it more normal for men to share their feelings and talk about what’s on their mind and their struggles; the better and easier it will become.
Hats off to you for taking time off your normal routine to give this a push along
And finally - now I can get a doctors script to be off work and go fishing!! :)
Nice video Bob & Paul 🎣😊🎣😊. Fishing REALLY helps me , in my Anger management & Agrarian issues, otherwise I would be doing more time in Jail , 15 years +.
That's a lovely thought by Bob. 😊 I do like him
Thanks for highlighting this gents and great work Dave!
I struggle myself and try to encourage my subscribers to open up if they're struggling. I'd love to get involved somehow.
Thank you for the kind words 🙂🙏🎣
Gone Fishing with Bob and Paul is very well presented, amusing and informative and has attracted a diverse audience and not just for the show's fishing content. 👍
I met Dave a few years ago just after he'd set up Tackling Minds (covid situation didn't help) and his enthusiasm and belief in the benefits of fishing to help improve wellbeing was very evident . I was only too pleased to give what little help I could and very pleased with his inclusion in Bob and Paul's show and that Tackling Minds is up and running (should that be fishing!!! )
🎣 Keep up the good work everyone.🙂
Thank you for the kind words. Hope you’re well 🙂🙏
Love all
Well done Dave ❤
Thank you 🙂🙏
Fishing takes me to my happy place, aswell as watching these guys 😊 #mentalhealth #happyplace #britaingettalking ❤
Well done Dave! Amazing work and brotherly hugs for your recovery and healing others. So amazing that these comedians that have had their own huge health issues and incorporate other health problems in such an amazing programme. I grew up with these amazing comedians. Such an amazing viewing experience 💙 keep up your amazing work 😍
Thank you Jason 🙂🙏🎣
Kayaking helps me. Injured my back so haven't been out in a while and now I'm a mess, so I need to get back out there.
These clips are always amazing, I'll have to watch the full episodes.
When Dave gets emotional tallking about his parents and overcoming his alcoholism, I am glad he is talking about this to someone like Bob who seems to be a genuinely caring human being.
Thank you for the lovely comment 🙂🙏🎣
Lovely episode
I really can relate with what Dave`s saying, too bad i hate fishing...;-)
Fishing is secondary my friend. It’s spending time in the great outdoors, connecting with people, and reaping the many proven benefits of the green blue spaces.
It doesn’t have to be fishing, it can be any hobby 🙂
This is truly a beautiful show.
I flipping hate anxiety. I hate that alcohol is the only thing that is cheap enough to work that day you need it. I hate that it makes things ten times worse the next day. Much love my fellow anxy peeps ❤
Love the videos! Am subscribed, but I hate seeing Bob so depressed at the end of every video while the rest was so uplifting. Maybe time for a new Subscribe recruiting ending; with your minds that is an easy challenge
I struggle every day especially now before lockdown I have lost myself feel iv become a recluse and
💜👍💜👍
