- 1. Make sure your wall is flat and smooth-ish
2. Remove all outlet covers + pull plugs away from the wall
3. Apply MusselBound tile adhesive mat to the wall. It’s basically like a double sided sticky tape that replaced thin set 🙌🏼
4. Pull back the MusselBound paper and stick your tiles to the wall
5. Use a manual tile snapper or a wet saw to make your cuts
6. Grout the tile
VOILÀ 🤌🏼

I love this. Good work. I show my dad these videos. He's a the guy. Done tile his whole life. He says that when ppl use that paper to stick the tile to, it will last for a while and eventually fall off. He has lots of experience with the stuff. Says it will last for a while but never lasts like doing it with thinset.
How does he have experience with it?
Your dad sounds old and stuck in his ways. He probably saw it done in 1983.
@incogneeto9122 only on the Internet would a life-long tradesman be ridiculed and told he knows less than the DIYer 😅
@@paddy1 folks can be bad at something their entire life, yet still do the things they’re bad at. For example, Trump is a horrible businessman, yet he and others think otherwise.
@incogneeto9122 Nothing like squeezing in a bit of left-wing rhetoric when talking about wall tiles. Tell me, how does one become a multi-billionaire and POTUS through being 'bad at business'... Enlighten us.
nice! yes, those tile mats are heaven! Girl...that precision cut with glove tight fit...PERFECTION!! LOVE IT SIS!
This was done so beautifully!!!! ❤
I love your tiles. They are gorgeous. Can you post the purchase link here?
I watched this a lot of times - haha it looks so good!!! Nice work
This video enabled me to redo my kitchen in tiles it came out lovely thank you for this.
Well hey it'll look great for the next couple of months:) they fall off eventually, especially ones by the oven
I’m shocked never seen anyone make doing tiles so simple. Great job. Now I want to do my kitchen ❤❤❤ 🔥
Like many things in reno there is no one-solution for all. adhesive mats for backsplash are not meant for heavy and large tile installation and also you pay the price for the convenient installation upfront
That sticky paper is insanely expensive, but it’s handy. Nice job.
You did an awesome job! Get it girl. Thank you for sharing!
Omg you made that look really easy. I want to done my kitchen, never done before 🤦♀️
This came out really good ! You did an amazing job
With wet adhesive you can move the tile into into its final position. With the adhesive paper you have to peel tile off and try again weakening the adhesive. Tiling can be a bit messy, you just have to do it in stages and clean up as you go
Well said 😎
Great job!
Super girl!! Looks perfect!🤩
That looks so nice
Wish I would have watched this before putting up my towel. This looks amazing.
that looks smart youve done a great job looks very professional
Stunning 😍
Cracking job.. it looks beautiful..x
Well done. The music, the temp.
Beautiful ❤
Hell yeah imma do my kitchen now
This is awesome - especially the adhesive backing!
Yay girl power!!!
Great job cutting and fitting the tiles, but if you're going through all that work, why not use mastic to properly stick them to the walls?
Ok that's a big help.
What is the product/item u put on before the tiles please ?
Great work. May I ask what color subway tile you used. White or light grey?
Perfection!
Amazing! How did you learn how to do this all? I love this!
There needs to be a law that when you sell your house, you must disclose any work done as DIY. I would hate to buy that house and one day have the tiles fall on my head
Wawo just amazing
Fire 🔥
How many tools to do this work? I wanna do it too😊😊
Can you seal the grout? Is that a silly question?😊
Would this sustain in high humidity areas like bathroom?
I am worried the glue will loose its adhesiveness quickly
There's a reason you don't use adhesive paper for backing. If you look, the tiles are wonky. That's becsuse the cement you would normally use acts as a leveler. Walls are never straight. This is good for someone whos not fussed about finish however. Hats off to you.
I have seen people do that with cement too though. I honestly dk which would be easier.
@@Michael-ur5qb I think a wall that isn't flat ends up with tiles that aren't flat, unless the tiler is skilled. I've never used the paper, but I imagine you could do a good job with it if the wall is really flat to start with.
You clearly don't know what you are talking about...
@@billymacktexasdetective5827 insightful comment Billy the kid. You must be proud with being able able to type a full sentence.
What is the longevity of sticking power of adhesive pads?
About two weeks. The whole thing will slide down the wall as one piece. Heat, moisture will help it along.
I used this musselbound adhesive on a bathroom vanity wall 3 years ago and it’s still good
I hope they don't collapse in the future. I use sticker wall so good so far after 4 years peel off need to renew again maybe tiles instead.
@@RubberBandPistol😂😂😂
Gorilla Glue 🌞
What kind of Gold hardware did you use??? We like those!! :)
Can you share the tile name?
What made you use the tile punch versus the saw? Are both necessary?
What is the adhesive product that you applied to the wall before applying the tile?
Looks great btw! 😊
Want to know this too!!! This is why I partially hate shorts
Musselbound double sided adhesive mat if I'm not mistaken. You can get it any major hardware retailer
@@AlexRodriguez-do9jx😊
It's nice to see the tape worked out for you.....we used the same thing some parts peeled off someparts bubbled and some part the tiles peeled off within a few hours
That’s what happens when you don’t prep the surface usually.
@JakeAoTK I don't know the drywall was prepped sanded cleaned and wiped dry. I was thinking it might've been a bad batched from rona it wouldn't be the first time we got a bad bad of something from there
Also what tile did you use?
Looks like Cloé from Bedrosians.
I’m wondering if I can bump these together and still get grout in between them? I really don’t want to use spacers
Can it hold a tile behind an oven, what brand is that?
My tiles came with this mesh on the back, can I leave that on
What do you call that sheet on the wall you put before the tiles?
Mussel bound tile mat
It's called musle bond sold at home depot. I used it 10 yrs ago and tiles are still up
What cutting tools did you use?
Is the adhesive durable….. have any tiles fell off?
In all my research I have never seen anyone mention using whatever adhesive film she used
The ones by the stove will fall off eventually
@comestayawhile, what is this paper called, could up share a link?
I’m scared to do my own
Is this work for a long time ?
Good work congrats from people who doesn’t know how good works looks like 😅
Glue tape wat how you got it on the wall
What color grout did you use?
Is this renter friendly in any way?
What kind of adhesive backing is that ?
Gorgeous!
Did you need any spacers?
What is the adhesive thing?
👏👏👏👏👏
❤
💪💪
What is the tile name please
Link to this ?
Does that adhesive come off without destroying the wallboard?
From what I’ve seen it’s harder to take off.
So wait a minute did she adhere a double stick sheet on the walls first then applied the tiles?
How is the tape called?
How did you call that paper, please?
What is that backsplash??
How is the tile holding up for the wall backsplash? We did ours under the cabinet but want to tile around my window. Husband told me no 🤣
Two weeks heat moisture will help as well have a great day
What size tile?
Can I ask what was the skil machine you used to cut the tiles please
It’s a ceramic tile cutter, it can be found at Lowe’s :)
Great! But tiles around the windows
You used stickers?
Is there a tutorial
Is easy if you gave the equipment
If would have been great if you had explain it how to do it
She put everything that she used in the description.
I’ve heard from contractors that these don’t last.
Of course you did. They want to sell you on the higher ticket item
@@hospitaladministrator3359 they still don’t last.
Just use mortar at that pony you’re doing everything a tile installer would do but you’re doing with with sticker paper
What’s the sticky sheet called?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out
J'ai suis carreleur a New York
What tile?
Looks like Cloe Gloss Ceramic
What was on the wall before? The rock was in good shape
Jesus all these CZcams diyers trying to put more effort into editing their videos than the actual skill. use cement board and mortar because that’s the WAY YOU DO IT.
Where are the spacers ?
Some tiles come with in-built spacer.
need affiliate links
That's a lovely prison backslash with your gas stove. Lol 😆
You're making fun of yourself. That's a dead giveaway for Lawyers. Lol 😅😅😅😅
Tape????
What song is this?
Worlds Smallest Violin by AJR
I agree BUT NOT EVERY HOUSEHOLD HAS A TILE CUTTER, or whatever do you call that cutter thing! I believe I could do this by myself, but I don't have that thing!
No it jolly well isnt
OIC it's actually not a how to video at all...
If you’re gonna get the tools and make the time, just do things correctly, might be more work and take more time, but the work is guaranteed. I guess nowadays these YT diyers solely do this for views and give people the wrong ideas on how to do projects. Stop being lazy and take the extra steps. It’s not that hard.
Agreed!
Lolol y’all want people to work harder for no reason. Welcome to the future they’ve discovered ways to do things more efficiently.
The hardware nobs are to low they have to be center with the bottom shaker
