    Hi! I live in Portugal and have difficulty getting official HEPA + carbon filters for my KC-A50 Sharp (it's almost identical to the one on this video) but I found a set of filters for it on AliExpress. The problem is the HEPA filter is white instead of green. The shop is also Chinese. Should I trust that these filters are up to standards or can they be like badly made dupes? The Sharp website doesn't appear to have the proper model HEPA filter for this device unfortunately. Only for newer models. They look the same as mine but in their compatibility list the KC-A50 isn't mentioned which makes me think it's not compatible. Thanks!

    Hi, my air purifier has been collecting dust for a few years and I have recently decided to clean it and with your helpful video I was able to get it done quickly. But i would like to ask is there any way to clean the dust collecting inside the air outlet at the top? I have let it run for a few hours and there are still dust stuck in there.

      Hi and thank you for your question. We do not recommend opening the unit to clean it. What we do here is we have an industrial blower. Remove all the filters in the air purifier, flip the air purifier upside down and blow into the air outlet. This should dislodge any large dust balls that had accumulated over time. You can also blow into the air inlet where the fan motor is located. You can refer to our latest video where we used our blower to clean out a dirty Panasonic air purifier. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us. Thank you.

      Hi Hairul, may i know your model number? Could it be a different unit or you bought it used and the previous owner discarded the carbon filter?

    Can u wash and clean the humidifier round wheel filter?

    • @yanbros
      @yanbros Před 2 lety

      There is no maintenance required on the filter. If it has turned soggy, deteriorated or has algae growing on it, then its time to replace it. For the humidifier housing and water tank, try cleaning it with soap and water to remove the scale and calcium build-up. As for the water to be used in the water tank, try using distilled water if possible as it will reduce the amount of calcium build-up and also you won't know what you are breathing in from the humidifier if its from normal tap water.

    hey! question: can I replace my kc-a40 humidifier filters to another later model filter? in my country I found only filters for kc-a50, kc-a60, for example i cannot find filters like FZ-A41HFR, same for DFR and FZ-a61MFR. But found A61HFR and DFR, while humidifying filter fits all three models like KC-a40, a50 and a60. Hope you can give an advice, peace and love!

      Hi, yes you can . You’ll be surprised to know that many filters from Sharp share the same filters. Because we have customers from all over the world, A40 in Asia would be A41 in the European countries. To answer your question, yes, you can.

      Hi and apologise for the delayed reply. Did you check the humidifier filter? It may have disintegrated . Also check that the filter and tank are installed correctly. You can find the manual for this model easily online . If you need further help, feel free to contact us at yan@hepapapa.sg

    Hi, I have a red light indicating 'water low'. I have replaced the water as usual, but ironically it think I overdid it, and it is causing the light to come on. I pressed 'reset' but its not working. How do i fix this?

    • @yanbros
      @yanbros Před rokem

      Open the water tank. At the bottom left, you'll see a blue styrofoam like material which is the float. It lets the unit know of the water level. Check that the float is install correctly. Thats about it. No reset is required for the water level. Just the float that tells the unit if the water level is low.

    Hi i have a problem my dust sensor is always green even though there is a dust !? I place another purifier the light turn red however the other is always green !? Whats the solution

    • @yanbros
      @yanbros Před rokem

      The thing about sensors on an air purifier is that it isn't always accurate. Another thing to note is that it may not be a particulate sensor but a VOC sensor. Is it because you are running the air purifier on auto mode and wanting it to run high when there is dust? Well, we would recommend to run it at least at med fan speed if not high speed. At low speed, its not as efficient noting that the tech specs on air purifiers are normally rated at its highest fan speed. Another thing you can do is to get an external sensor. These things are rather affordable and can be easily found online. You can get an rough reading of the PM2.5 at least to know if your air purifier is working. Hopefully this helps.
