Clyde cementing his run for Sauce god of LFG’s. I said it in Sweats video where you guys kidnapped two blueberries to feed to Riven and I’m saying it now, it’s help, patience and understanding that you gave them that gives LIFE to our Destiny community. We appreciate it.
We had a group who were very nice our first night running, but our second night everyone just made snarky comments and threatened to drop my buddy and i, who are veteran players but we dont raid often. Its shitty how often i run into terrible groups attempting to sherpa, who get super agressive when things dont go smoothly. I was 30 under level, and i think i died the least out of the 6 of us purely on positioning and proper mods alone. I havent even gotten my clear because they decided to cheese atheon for my first run, and then didnt want to finish it the second day
That commitment is amazing Clyde. I wish more players had this approach in LFGs, it's super commendable and holesome.
This vid just randomly popped up on my homepage but As a solo player who has to lfg for endgame content thank you. A lot of LFG's are toxic af and have zero patience however you were very informative and patient with these guys who may not have ever cleared a raid. We need more people like you in this community
Im a solo player as well who needs to use LFG for end game stuff, If someones being toxic i just boot em, I excuse someone being impatient cuz I understand, people dont have all day
That’s not as bad as someone on lfg rage quitting a group because people are talking before the raid starts.

I have done VOG 5 times now with LFG and I can say that there seems to be way less toxicity than there was in the original D1 VOG... I mean its possible that I have just gotten lucky but it seems that people are more willing to accept that people fuck up occasionally rather than just raging at people.
I’ve done it about the same amount as you teaching at least 1 other an I haven’t had someone lose their shit
There’s a couple people that make it insufferable.
Just gotta make sure people know put that your new and willing to learn in your post so that you get ppl willing to help some ppl just got off work and want to get there weekly clears done before they have to get off so I can see both sides

Ive LFGd with my friend for VoG a couple times now and both teams we found some generally pretty chill kids who didnt just rage quit. Its always nice when that happens

Aye you actually find alot of genuine gamers and good dudes on there i use lfg alot and would say 80% of the time i get some good teams
My first raid ever was last wish on xbox and the people teaching werent toxic and understood when I made mistakes, I will never forget that day
Honesty LFG on xbox is pretty solid, seems to be less toxic player's.
It is very good. You can meet some very nice people on it but you can figure out who is somewhat toxic by what they post of the lfg.

I never find good teams on xbox. Like 1/10 are actually good sherpas, or where everyone wants to learn regardless of mistakes. We had a "sherpa" shoot the wrong oracle i. Atheon the other night and they threatened to leave because they had screwed up and tried to pin it on me and my buddy who were there to learn.

The biggest problem with lower light players is that they do not have the resources needed to properly dps the boss. Which is why I always recommend the fusion rifle or seasonal weapons they give you for free. Those always give newer players the edge.
Null composure and xeno are the 2 easiest dps weapons to obtain

My experience as an older solo player is as you said when I used LFG long ago. I haven’t raided in at least a year. Too old for the toxic bullshit. I’ve resorted to paying someone to complete raids on my behalf. That’s how bad the atmosphere is in the lfg community

I was a regular and got unadded by him for botching Oracles (Even though I shot the right one 3 times in a row with Xeno and it didn't break, still my fault though ofc)
It's usually entertaining until he wants to act like he can do no wrong.
We went from that oracle encounter to 5 man Gatekeeper and Atheon, wasn't good enough tho I guess.

Imo Xbox is 65% nice people who want to help 15% people who sweat and are average at best but talk down to beginners or chill/average players Last 20% are just toxic ass clowns who are toxic for no reason. My experience may be different but I still love the community

3min in and i must say i depend upon lfg but have never used the official platform lfg functions... That was somewhat terrible and i'm saying that from extensive experience as a sherpa myself. There's just something weird about VoG that makes lfg and/or sherpa runs super awkward to pull off atleast for first-timers. Also you "casually pulling off 2.2mil dmg on Templar" with the next closest being approx 1mil behind is sad. You were even massively reducing your rate of fire to not make yourself seem OP which is kind of you.
The main thing is they weren't toxic, listened to genuine advice and with the assistance of you and the party host got it done; kudos for that atleast. For reference from where my thinking is coming from is that of my worst sherpa being an all english speaking CoS to my best being sherpa'ing 3 exclusively german speaking europeans(as an aussie; so massive language barrier and ping difference) through DSC with the unasked for yet hugely appreciated kwtd "assistant in language translation" help from another player. During that DSC run me and the other player would be waiting for 5mins at a time while things were translated back and forth; keep in mind i gave the 3 of them the most important roles for crypt security and they pulled through with relative ease once they understood what was where and the flow of the encounter.
Sherpa'ing is rewarding but every time you respond to someones "teach us" request, join a sherpa run or post yourself "will teach" your rolling the dice of player toxicity and that is what ruins the sherpa/sherpee experience. I've had runs where 10+ clear players are more toxic then majority of fireteams who knows nothing...

I hate lfg I always put specific words like have clears be experienced and kwtd and I always get someone who doesn't know what to do and I'm only asking for 5 clears by then you should know how everything works
