Thank you sir. Quick question, during VOP, I see the pacing burst at 250ms. If TCL is 260 that is -10. As SVT continues when you came off pacing, you increased the pacing burst but the slide still shows 250ms. I am wondering if it should say 260? Just wanted to make sure I am not missing something.
Would it be possible to get the slides for this? Or a handout if that was available. Thanks!
Question. I’ve had svt for sometime now and I’ve been on so many medications and it seems nothing is controlling it. I’m 40 and my episodes are getting closer and closer together. Usually have to go to the ER and given adenosine x2 One 6mg and then one 12 mg dose with no conversion. They then go to cardioversion at 100j and still could not convert. They say it is avnrt. I’ve already had 2 failed ablations. Eveytime I go into an episode I get so out of breath and often I go unconscious. The last episode I stayed in svt for over 24 hours. In the last year of having so many episodes my echo showed my ejection fraction of 58% and my last one showed 47% I’m worried about all the damage my svt episodes are causing on my heart. I’m actually thinking about asking my doctor to do an av node ablation and put in a pacemaker. Is something like that even possible? I’m just tired of all the episodes and going unconscious. I don’t leave my home in fear of having an episode while driving.

Regena Rodriguez omg!! Your story sounds so incredibly scary. I’m so sorry for you. I wish I could help you with something, but I’m just a regular person trying to figure out what is going on with my SVT episodes. I’ve never had to do the medication (at the ER) or have it last more than 2 hours. 24 hours for you! That’s must have been scary and in the end exhausting. I have been looking into have the ablation done my self. I want to go to the absolute best in the field. And I have came a cross a doctor who is in the Chicago area named: Dr. Roderick Tung. He’s apparently the best in this field and has a state of the art facility. I live in FL but will definitely travel to have this done since it is an important surgery to me. Wish you well!
sounds like you need an ablation for SVT. See an electrophysiologist!
