VR to The Boy Diviner on my favourite card stock and what makes great tarot card stock for me. Watch Casper's original video here • #CARDSTOCKSNOB: seven ...
I do love the Hay House cardstock for the Light Seers and the Muse! It is still rather thick, but still bendy and supple, and it slides *much* better. Definitely worth getting!
I agree that some independent makers get overly think cardstock that makes the decks hard to use--so unfortunate! I also enjoy decks with a whisper to them.
Love watching people shuffle cards, does that make me odd?! Nicoletta ceccoli is one of my favourites all round. Every time I post it on Instagram everybody ooos over it. . I love the linen card stock of my literary witches oracle too. 💜
I hesitated for so long about the Ceccoli tarot but I'm so glad I finally got it. I filmed a review of it a few weeks ago. I don't have that Literary Witches oracle but I loved the book.
I bought the MM Light Seer's for the very reasons you mention: The indie version is so thick. I was hoping that MM would be easier to shuffle, but not so much. The card stock is marginally thinner, but not enough for me unfortunately. I enjoyed your VR!
I am starting to get arthritis, but it doesn't stop me yet...I love a tasty shuffle. One of my all time favorites is Lo Scarabeo Dark Grimoire tarot...I don't know if they still have the same cardstock, but it is absolutely perfect cardstock, size, everything. Also, Tyldwick tarot is skinny, slippery and absolutely fabulous shuffle, I've completely ruined the gilding and never looked back. I still riffle and bridge those big old indie decks...the hardest one - the famous Tarot of Delphi...hard as hell to shuffle, I've had to shuffle it backwards a bunch, but I will not ever give up. Just hate cereal box cardboard-y cardstock...yuck.
The trouble with US Games cardstock is that it varies wildly from deck to deck! They used to have really great Belgian cardstock in the 80s and 90s; then switched to a horribly plastic stock for a while. Then they went to a nicely waxy for a bit (like in the Centennial), and in the last couple of years it really has been all over the map. Hush tarot and Crow are lovely, Ethereal Visions much less so.

The more I see of the Dreamkeeper's Tarot, the more I want it. It looks so sumptuous. And those backs...
Thanks so much for sharing! 💕💕
It's one of my favourites. I thought I'd struggle to read with it but somehow it speaks really clearly to me.
HazelJane!! I love love love your voice
Thanks for watching Casper! And thanks for starting this hash tag!

I'd love to be able to riffle better!

Yes it seems very deck dependent. I have a few with lovely card stock but they aren't all the same as each other for sure.
