- ADVENTURE NUMBER 1: Lille and Paris. In this UnJaded Travel vlog, I start my solo interrailing trip (what an actual rookie I was!!), get kidnapped by the loveliest Parisian subscriber hehe and had my first night in a hostel... mmm. An experience. This whole backpacking thing takes some practise, and let's just say, I didn't master it in these first 2 days haha!

i started watching you just 2-3 days ago and i literally regret not coming across you all these unorganized past years of mine. i’ve really been struggling getting up early and setting a proper morning routine, i’ve been very demotivated to studyand getting along with school has gotten tough. as i’ve started watching you, i feel really motivated to start up a new schedule and live more productively. you are literally changing my life. i’m gonna reschedule my 9:30 am wake up to 5:00 am in the morning which is what i wanted, and all the thank you’s go to you because you’re really an inspiration for me. thank you jade, you’re amazing.

I am going to do a gap year in Jerusalem in two weeks (literally 4 days after I turn 18!), and I bought a 4€ ring that kinda looks like a wedding band, so I can tell creepy people that I am married/engaged - also we are 25 volunteers going there and all the boys were told beforehand that us girls might have to refer to them as our brothers or husbands - so I get the part about lying, sometimes it's just easier and safer to do so.

Jade, I am from the U.S. and I took a semester abroad in Latvia while doing my degree online and travelled solo at 18 to Ireland, Lithuania, and Berlin while I was there, and it was honestly the MOST incredible and life changing trip! The difficulties, challenges, and mistakes are SO normal and natural, and they really add to the air of adventure and learning, don't they? 😋 My trip was over a year ago now but it was one of the best things that has happened in my life and I think about the memories all the time... And your video brought them all rushing back! 💗 Thank you so much for sharing your adventures! You are doing great! 🌻

Love this Jade, and I know you said you loosened up by the end of your travels, but it really isn't great to put your backpack on your front. It often indicates to pickpocketers that you have something valuable in the bag, making you even more of a target. I love your videos and the travels look amazing x
Ahh watching this back to relive my interrail. Remembering watching this thinking no way can you meet someone on a train. I got on my eurostar and instantly met someone. Lol
My guess is that at 8:20 you said that everyone is asleep, it’s about seven thirty and something along the lines of you are going to go out of your room to have a shower.
Looks like you’ve had an amazing time, you should be really pleased with yourself for really going for it and leaving your comfort zone!
The best part of travelling is knowing different people and their personalities, laughing and of course food.

The collapsible cap is a Charles Owen horse riding helmet cover! Just to let you know, for any horse riders that spotted that! Tbh you made it look pretty cool... I know what I'll wear when I forget a cap at the stables :) You looked like you had so much fun and you definitely didn't look a rookie! xxxx

What I love about your video, is that you really captured how daunting it can feel for a solo traveller to be out of one's comfort zone in unfamiliar surroundings. And yet by having the courage to take the first step, you were welcomed by complete strangers and looked after for a couple of hours. Chapeau!!!

Yessss!! On my solo Interrail trip this summer the first few days were probably the hardest. I found it awkward in my first hostel meeting people but after that it gets SOOOO much easier

Backpacking Pro tip; ( don't want to promote plastic ) but ziplock bags as bag dividers are life savers! I used them for a sleeping kit, underwear, food, laundry and re-used them my entire hike trip!

I guess it depends on where u r going to. If i were to visit another country, I'll have to catch an aeroplane which makes things way more expensive and tough. I have been to other cities within my country with my friends which i really enjoyed but I've never slept over at the place i went to as my parents doesn't like the idea of me staying at hotels without a grown-up.
I'll probs do some 'real' traveling when i go to uni 😊

Lived in france for 4 years and visited thw whole of europe except for germany and russai. It was amazing experience because you can drive to places in within france and you get to learn a new language. Been learning french for four years, a great language to learn but takes effort, tome and practice to learn the language.
It's soooo inspiring! This is my last year at high school and after that I'm thinking of going on a similar trip so your videos make me even more excited about it c:

Pro tip - if ypu ask for them to fill your water bottle in cafés make sure you're in a country which has tap water which is safe for drinking !

This video is making me want to start a youtube channel for the sole reason of making friends like this when I travel. This was so precious! Thank you jade for showing how easy traveling can actually be. I've been very worried about trains/ language differences and this is showing me I can do it. It's so great seeing you solo travelling! I went interrailing at 18 years to Italy this August too (also in my gap year) and had an amazing time. I'm so looking forward seeing more of your travels. I hope more young people are going to be inspired by you to go travelling on their own too. It literally is the most amazing thing. You learn soo much. Love from germany :)
