I’m a big fan of SI. I am not on top of things when it comes to the tacticool game, but I consider SI as squared away and I never had any problems with their products. Well built and useable.
The fold down sights are likely to make this an option for tall receiver guns. Most of the time you have to buy HK MP7 sights to get this functionality which are expensive. These would be great for AR-57 uppers so you can cowitness them with a RMR style red dot. They'd probably work decent on a CZ Scorpion too. The fold down function would also be good for any of the chassis pistol conversion kits. Same as with the AR-57 uppers, these would cowitness with RMR red dots or lot mounted T1 style optics on pistol chassis kits.
@@combatreadychannel Yep. You’d have to chin weld them flipped up. I can only see this being necessary if your optic is cracked or covered in mud/blood. Or if for some reason you’re using flip ups while wearing a gas mask.
@@combatreadychannelyou can buy those offset 45 degree mounts and mount these backup sights on there. Should make the pistol sights usable. I believe the pistol sights would be good for a pistol AR with a shortened buffer and 5 inch barrel.
I don’t know. 🤷 I don’t think the low folded down configuration of the sights will work even if you just had a straight buffer tube with nothing on it. Unless you shoot it like and actual pistol with it extended out in front of your face. It seems like it would work best for something more like the CZ scorpion or some other Sub machine gun style firearm.

Yes, not very gun is an AR15 but the vast majority of rifle platforms won’t work with the lower sights. Also the description on the Strike Industries website specifically says that these are designed for the AR platform. It does not say anything about other platforms.

Yeah I can see it working with something like that when they are down, but wouldn’t that then make them too high when they’re flipped up?

Strike industries does make a lot of ar "pistol" type products maybe these would be better suited for sbr type use

They are nice and not too expensive. But like I was saying in that other comment, its difficult to use both high and low sights on one gun.

Those short sights are for drop stoked weapons ..shot guns or maybe sub guns
