Sam Houston brings a wealth of experience from his 10 years in the US Navy, where he flew onboard P-3C Orion Surveillance Aircraft as a Flight Tech and Sensor Operator, supporting combat operations across multiple theaters. After transitioning to the civilian sector, Sam became a qualified UAV Operator and Maintainer on RQ-27 autonomous systems, logging over 2,000 hours in support of conventional and Special Operations Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, both on the battlefield and remotely.
Sam's expertise doesn't stop there. He was also a thermal and electronic surveillance sensor operator on RC-12 Aircraft, supporting US interests in the AFRICOM AOR. Additionally, he owned and operated a night vision hog hunting outfitting service, guiding clients through the Florida swamps and forests to locate and harvest feral pigs with the aid of NV and thermal optics. From 2015-2022, Sam ran the NV Goggle Build and Repair programs for TNVC. He currently serves in the Florida National Guard as a Forward Observer and continues to support the industry as a technical adviser and night vision Subject Matter Expert.
