Have been listening to audiobook of Uncommon Type Some Stories and you actually feel as if Tom Hanks is sitting in your room reading it to you he has such a great voice. He could read the phone book and I would listen.

I love his personality and how it was able to just glaze over the fact that short stories can" make quite a bit of money" like that's not the reason why he put it out.

Tom Hanks is definitely hard to relate to. In real life, only Tom Hank can do Tom Hanks. How does he perform all those different characters? He can give anybody a good (run forest) run for his money.
What I find most impressive is how he manages to be so charismatic while being completely unapologetic about being rich as fuck.

Because he's smart enough to know what he's good at and not arrogant enough to think that being good at acting makes him a competent politician.
All you really need for leadership is "Is this a good thing? Is it the 'right thing to do?' That's enough...everything else is 'window-dressing'.

He's the humble type of actor, i really don't think his actual persona would be any different.
I like Tom Hanks as much as the next person, but if he's abusing people, then we should all hope the truth comes out. Because behind every abuser are the people they're abusing. But I agree, it would be a shock if he was a scum bag.

Tom if I was working in the industry making movies, I'd back at ya with hey you! Whats your name or hey Buddie! The reason is without the back crew doing there jobs to get you awards, you'd be standing scratching your ass with one hand and a cup of coffee from starbucks you picked up on the way to work yourself. You own part of your fame to the people that made you look good even when you screwed up. You should seriously know there names or at least say thank you. Most of those people are union and they do a lot no one ever sees on film behind the scene. Every project has them.

well that's interesting. christopher hitchens kinda said pretty much the same thing about writing, that the best writing is musical and the best writers have a great musical sense, which he said btw he didn't have and which made him a lousy writer. but i disagree.

I love him as an actor. Some stories in the book are nice but nothing really special, some are total disaster, I think he could have just published them online for free, it would have been fair, it's strange to sell all around the world that huge bunch of books just for the name on the cover.
