SCP 420 is a dirty bottle of whiskey with no lid; when emptied, a small amount of whiskey-like liquid (SCP-420-1) remains in the bottle, appearing as liquid adhering to the sides. This liquid pools back into a few milliliters of SCP420 -1 over time. Drinking SCP-420-1 will cause SCP-420-2, a nonfatal but consuming degeneration and mutation of skin and keratinous tissue (hair, fingernails, etc.) in the infected.

I think it's ironic, that the derelict didn't want to go to the doctor's because he didn't want to be closed up in some kind of "government lab", just to be closed up later in almost a government lab because he really did have some alien (here as "unknown", not "extraterrestrial") factor
Way worse than any government lab.
Even tho Dr. Bob is the one who voiced the drunk character, I find it amazing how he can sound almost like a completely different person just by changing the demeanor

all the guy had to do was not drink the weird street bottle that my first thought would have been "somebody pissed in this", failing that, all he had to do when the weird shit started was go the the FREE Clinic near his apartment. it's not like he'd lose anything by asking them what was wrong, and they'd almost certainly contact the Foundation where he could have gotten real treatment. but no, "it will pass" he says as his skin becomes sentient.
I had to show this to my friend that likes drinking a lot and this scared the hell out of him! He still drinks, but he takes second thoughts. Thanks!!!

I haven’t even finished the episode but can’t help but commend the fantastic script writing. All of the Dr.Bob scp videos are fantastic, but something about this one in particular just made me realize how easily they could all be turned into actual television quality episodes with the right budget. They’re written in such a way you could even change the media from animation to live action and it would still work wonderfully. Every single story before the explanation feels like a new modern era “twilight zone” in which the scps almost “target” the perfect person / situation.
to be fair most of the storys that dr.bob narrates are tales or stories very few are actually created by him
Actually comparing it to the old black and white twilight zones is a great comparison. Never thought of it that way and I completely agree. It also kinda reminds me of... what was that show? Tales to tell in the dark? I can't remember the title. But it was a show that told 3 stories where 2 were fake and 1 was based on a true story. I think it used to be on the sci-fi channel. 🤔

@@comic_the_ace I don't completely understand what you've written but from what I can see, you're wrong. I've been watching doctor Bob from the very beginning of he's channel. I can tell you for a fact that he has been the one making his own videos right till when he started the doctor Bob squad. It usually takes a lot of time some times months before he uploads. there's was a time he announced that he would going on vacation and won't be able to upload any videos again for the time being. As for the stories, these are SCP stories, everyone out there are picking different scp stories online and telling them in their channels so is doctor Bob. The difference between them and doctor Bob, is the way he tells he's stories. Most these scp stories are just about the anormally alone but doctor Bob adds more to the story and tend to keep the identity shroweded in mystery before revealing it later before explanation.

I consider your comment rather unfair when don't really know the truth but spit out wrong informations in other to cut short how far he has come. If it was that easy, why can't other CZcamsrs tell the story like him. The way the artist has drawn the uneven, weirdly blinking eyes of the drunkard gives me pause, lol. That, along with the realistic drunk voice, really brings life to this video. Also, the most amazing part about how great this "drunk voice" is, is the smooth, instant transition back to his narrator's voice. Very talented voice training.

It's truly a lot that could be Sarkic or have shared Sarkic origins/magic/mechanics. The Tales, 001 proposals and the few retellings often combine originally unrelated scp in that way.

Actually guaiacol is present in whiskey, which is why it was shown in this video. It's also present in coffee. It forms from the pyrolisis of lingin polymers. It's also naturally present in the oils of some plants without pyrolysis.

This reminds me of that Stephen King short story, Grey Matter. It involves this dead beat dad losing his job and becoming an alcoholic. He drinks a beer laced with a deathly mutagen, and when his friends check on him a few weeks later, he’s more monster than man.
I love the creative backstory you make for your characters, it really adds to the storytelling before we even hear of the SCP.
