About Ryunohara: Ryunohara is a tea and bee farm in progress. We're nestled deep in the mountains of Ryujinmura, Wakayama Prefecture. The 2 farmhouses on the property are 60 and 120 years old. We will use natural farming techniques, so no tilling, no fertilisers, pesticides, and no weeding. A farm-to-table cafe is in the works.

Hi! Land can be cheap if you know someone in the area (a relative or friend of a prospective seller). Good properties don’t come up often in my area but there are quite a few land bank websites you can look into online. If you’re building your own house make sure the land you are buying is zoned correctly (you cannot build on farmland or forests for example) and that the place you are in has no building code restrictions (areas nearby cities typically require architects to sign off before you can build).
