I just came across your video. I moved to Illinois with my company back in 03 and I sure do miss settin them lines in the Brazos and drinking ice cold Lone Star!!
As soon as I saw the boat ramp I knew where you were at 😂!! That was a good video, I get down there to Cayuga from time to time and always do pretty good. And they grow those gators pretty big down that way.
red shirt.. grab that fish and put some angle and opposing pressure on those hooks... other than that, you fellows definitely have it figured it out.. I run lines on the Sabine from Dewyville south to the Train Bridge crosses the main river just south of where the main river meets back together after splitting around Sabine Island. I've fished those drop style lines at Toledo Bend and Annacocco Lakes and had great success with that method but I'm pretty sure yall just convinced me to try in the high current area edys.. I mostly catch decent size opps and blues with an occasional 30 - 40lb opp, my biggest from the Sabine is just under 50lbs. But the Sabine marsh/delta area with the brackish water, south of the I-10 stateline bridge is where it's at as far as catching some big blues but it is always while running jugs due to the insane amount of bait stealing crab's but with the jugs and fishing higher up in the water column keeps them from stealing your bait. My favorite bait cut mullet or pogey of which the latter I will catch an ice chest near full with my castnet a few days before I intend to fish. I'll put them on o Ice and allow the ice to melt some but not completely. Then I'll take a whole canister of salt and stir it into the ice/water/shad mix which toughens the pogey up to almost a leather type texture which is the result I'm after due to the fact that pogey are really soft and doesn't take much for them to come off the hook, but adding the salt really makes a difference and has definitely improved bait to hooked fish ratio.. thanks for sharing.. subbed.

I’m from trinity and man when you catch them you catch them it takes awhile but when you get that bite it’s the biggest and best it could be just takes a while with some patience
Where at on the Trinity is this? I fish the Trinity south of Livingston (launch at the 59 overpass). Im planning a trip to launch at Riverside when it warms up. This looks further north than Im at.
