It’s so important to talk about interest rates and mortgages , especially for the younger viewers.
Investing in a brita filter jug for your fridge would be better than buying bottled water!
Top tips for you to save money: -😊
1. Start your side business again, mortgage rates won't go down much and the rise of costs will still be high
2. Start cooking more, you spent around £70 on ready meals mostly (if you do buy food, go to Aldi, not M&S)
3. Don't just sell on Vinted, buy too not from Oliver Bonas
4. Use your points when travelling to America if you aren't
As someone who has just recently bought a home, I am now more than ever keeping tabs on my budget. Love that you're still having little treats in this video. Money is here to be spent, and if a coffee makes you happy, then so be it! Love these types of real vids! X
Okay girl first things first, you are GLOWING. I have watched you for years and it's emotional to see your journey!
Just some tips for budgeting which I find so helpful! Not just for u, but for everyone- from a girly who has no money hehe. Food shopping is expensive but if you do it right, you will save so much money. Lidl and Aldi for fish is so cheap but also responsibly sourced - they are also cheap for fresh veg etc - even the organic range is unbelievably inexpensive. I live in Hove - if you live near George St, then there is a Lidl very close by Hove Park, walkable but also the bus is super easy :) I find the buses in Brighton so so good as well and obviously so much more low-cost than cabs. Going to a tesco express etc just absolutely racks up money. I see u also hate the water here, so buy the supermarkets own brand! its like 80p in tesco - 30p in lidl. I feel like places like tesco have us in a CHOKEHOLD with 'clubcard' and its great for some bits, but their own brand stuff is just as good and cheaper. Clothes wise - if you're selling on vinted, buy on vinted too! then you feel like you have spent no money... girl math... you are helping the environment but also saving lots and lots of money!
I also see you like going for coffee - maybe worth investing in a nice coffee machine? I have a nespresso one which i pay a subscription for, and I never buy it out anymore unless I am seeing a friend or something. I have saved about £15 A WEEK on coffee by having my own coffee machine.
I think you’re taking your color palette a little too seriously. I think you should just wear what you like, rather than obsessing over your color palette, just saying

People don’t suit every colour so while it’s cool to wear what you want there’s no harm in getting pieces which actually complement your features

This was really interesting, I've never understood why we treat money as such as taboo subject. I think it's important to talk about salaries and bills and mortgages! We're all in different situations and that shouldn't mean we can't be honest, I think that makes it more important.

You always have to count in your income /hour ratio. For example for me, it’s more profitable to work one more hour a day or take some work-related course and increase my value on the market than spend all this time in the kitchen.

A little tip for prescriptions, anyone who is eligible in the UK can apply for an NHS medical exemption card. Your prescriptions will be free then, I have cancer and can’t work so this is a life saver for me! 🥰

It's insane to me that you were advised to only fix your mortgage interest rate for 2 years! I believe in The Netherlands 5 years is the minimum (but not all banks offer it), 10 years is more expected. But when the rates were below 2% I believe loads of people fixed their rate for the next 20-30 years! (we're expected to pay off our mortgage in 30 years) We've fixed ours for 10 years at 3.69% I believe. Hopefully in 10 years' time it'll have dropped a little hahaha. Risky business, these mortgages...

Me again 😅. Found this really interesting to watch and I’ll definitely be putting some of my clothes on Vinted now after realising I’ve got a tonne I no longer wear. If you wanted to reduce your bills, id recommend batch cooking meals. It works out cheaper in the long run plus less cooking but conscious you didn’t ask my opinion 😅. Another great video as always! Firstly the colour pallet.. I've watched you for like 10 years probably more. I've never thought wow that doesn't suit her. I've always thought you were beautiful and loved your style.
My mortgage payments went from 1400 AUD to almost 2800 aud 🥲 I am also lucky enough I can afford to keep paying it. Part of me wants to sell the house and make the $$ but the housing crisis in Australia is so messed up I might not have a home to go to. Double edge sword 😅
