Please note I misspoke and said scent eliminator lasts 30 min in game, it is 120 min in game and 30 min IRL.

The way I've been using them is as lures to hunting towers, ground blinds and rocks while I level up to my callers. If I'm running around and spook something and I'm upwind, I'll just spray some, walk for a bit, spray some more and when I find a nice spot to wait, I just squat, they show up and I kerblam em. I combine it with the descent thingy and it's been working rather well.
So the main way to really use scent lures is to place them near a need zone that is downwind from you, then move to a position where you will have a broadside shot on the animal that is now investigating the scent, from a hidden position ideally. Moving to this new angle also eliminates the need for scent eliminator, which is far too costly for anyone except those who have already unlocked everything. It takes a lot of time and patience to properly use them.
Think of it as a call you can activate remotely, and trick the animal into giving you easy broadside shots.
Yea. With scent lures you want to attract animals to a certain spot (where you spray the scent) and then move to the side from that spot yourself and wait. That way you are out of the wind and animals will come in and not smell you. Also you want to be in a stand which reduces scent and visibility and gives you a better view. But the wind changes so fast in the game that unless you have the weather prediction skill, it's really hard to find a proper place.
These would be fun in multiplayer if you want to act as a "guide" for a friend! Lure them in and your friend sets up in a flanked position and takes out whatever they feel like.
No idea how many videos ive tried to find to explain this out i use callers and eliminators but i have never used any lures at all becuase of not knowing anything about how to use them thank you again for a great video see you next stream

Another great tip video. I played around with the scents and lures few times while hunting without knowing how they really work. Will have to give that tip a try the next time i hunt.
I’ve e always used scents and I use them like you along with the callers ive gotten some really big boys to slow and take interest long enough for me to put them down yes sir as always another top notch vid
Thanks beard I have used it before and I will say what I do is I spray it somewhere then I will move to at least 60 to 70 meters or yards away and then wait I like to use it when I stand or tripod hunt

Hi Jaxy, another great video. Really not used the scents too much but will definitely make a point from now on. I shot my 100th diamond yesterday & it was a monster. Max weight mule deer. Could you tell me how I can put it on king of the kill? As I have no idea how to it. I'm on xbox.

Scent lures are location based. Scent eliminator is sprayed on your person and moves with you.

What about the drop sents will they go where you put it or toward you?
Sent does work. But sent elem. doesn't really work.
Does the animal scent lures overpower your natural scent? If the animals are in your wind and you spray the lure and stay there, both your scent and the scent lure will be blowing towards the animal. Do they ignore your personal scent and instead only smell the lure for those 5 mins?
I tend to use the scent eliminator as well as the scent lures in tandem to increase my odds. A good option is to spray the lure and move out of the wind since it is location based. However these are just aids and the bigger animals don't move in as well. Sometimes its to buy more time
You're very misspoken about the scent eliminator also the fact is that it's 100% chance that it applies to yourself it may have been different when you were playing it but as it is now you have 100% chance of application

It's because you spraying the scent, on an area, to lure an animal doesn't eliminate the scent you give out. It's like you putting out chocolates for your girl yet you smell like you drowned in a canal.

He explains it in the video. Whenever you spray a scent it does not attach to you. It essentially gets sprayed on the ground near you. So you could spray it in one spot and then move away from that spot and the animals will go to the spot you first sprayed it at
