Welcome to the CZcams channel of House + Holm! I'm a mama of three sweet little ones and am married to my middle school sweetheart! My passion for home renovation, design and decorating took off when my husband and I purchased our first home, a 100 year old 1300sq/ft house. Since then, we have renovated four homes. This channel was born out of a love for sharing about our online interior decor store, House + Holm. After three years of investing in our shop, we felt called to close our online doors and prioritize raising our kids and being present at home. If you choose to be a part of our CZcams family, you can expect to see all things home! My husband is a Pastor, and we find ourselves constantly talking about the church and our church family. Although being a pastor is a 24/7 job, there are times when we are out together that we need to take a bit of a break. So here's my tip for when you guys have some time away- talk about kids, work, etc in the car on the way. Get it all out. Then when you get to where you are going, shut it off.We try to do this (we don't always do well, but we try) We will even say, "ok is there anything else we need to to say about it before we stop talking about it?" We get it all out. Then we go on our hike (for example) and just focus on each other and the beauty of what we're doing. It has really helped us relax and be present.

This video was so fun. Chad is so funny, he uses scenarios like my husband uses, one’s that have me picking my jaw up off the floor. Our home is in the stage of “we’ve done everything inside that we want to do” so we will be focusing on our back yard this Spring/Summer season. Our kids are all out of the house and I'm a grandma now but I remember how busy those years used to be and how quickly they went so glad to hear that you are making choices that are best for your family. I'm rewatching now. Valentine's Day is our engagement anniversary. This year will be 10 years since I said yes. Our wedding anniversary is my ex-sister-in-laws birthday, which we didn't know it was her birthday till we set the date. Loved getting to know you and Chad more.

What a funny informative video. I had to laugh as I am always coming up with scathingly brilliant ideas. My older kids want to run when I say " I've been thinking" When I traded my suv to a car I told my kids it's a way to stop me from bringing home loads of lumber however the first weekend thrifting I managed to fit a huge 42" round oak coffee table in my back seat and since then I know I can fit 8ft boards inside. Lol

Valentine Day 47 years ago for us. Our first date was on Valentine’s Day. Married 46 years June 4th this year.
