Another thing you guys did differently then us was at 16:10 end of round 1 when last chance was called each player didnt reveal their hand at the end of their turn.
I thought the player who calls last chance has to reveal their hand to show they have at least 7 points and it tells the others how much they need.
Then as each player takes their last turn they play their duos they can use and then reveal their whole hand. And once their hand is revealed they cant have a card stolen from shark/swimmer duo.

Don’t feel like you need to play duos right away, especially early in a round. Duo boats is really powerful if the discards possess something you want

Great advice! We were definitely in "Do stuff because we can" mode for a lot of this first game. Love it when tiny little card games have lots of hidden strategy to be learned.

At 9:29 the one player says you cant discard old cards in your hand only one of the new ones, is that what it says in the rules? We didn’t play it like that, we played it that u could discard any card.

Great question! I believe Jess does indeed state the correct rule here. The "Must add a card to your hand" step of a turn reads as follows:
-EITHER they take the first two cards from the deck, add one to their hand and discard the second faceup on the discard pile of their choice (if a discard pile is empty, they have no choice but to put their card there)
-OR they take the card on top of one of the two discard piles.
Because that first option says "discard the second faceup," I read that to mean it must be the second card of the two you drew.
However, we're all for house rules if it adds to the experience, so if your group tries the game both ways and you agree that you prefer being able to discard anything in your hand, then go for it. Hope this helps!

Oh ok. We musta did it wrong. The rounds went way faster when we played. Much easier to score, but I'll have to try it the correct way next time.

The person who call the last chance. Do they have to show their cards as soon as they call last chance to protect them from the shark attack? Card that steals card?

Definitely not! Those cards are secret, and definitely still vulnerable to a shark attack. Last chance means take your chances :-)

Need to explain person by person how you're scoring the points.
