Congrats! just noticed something in your driving - I think shifting up to N from D while the vehicle is still moving and coming to a stop harms your gearbox man, unlike an MT, in an AT, its best to do the shift after a complete stop.
Good Observation. I agree with you wholly. This is accurate especially for Torque Converter automatics. I would go a step further and add, before you go into Park, drop to N engage your parking brake first and then release the foot brake so the car rests on the parking brake before you go into P. This elongates the life of the diff bushings at the back end of the drive shaft. No thuds whilst shifting in and out of gears in the long run. Congratulations on your purchase. You can never go wrong with a Toyota. And this is one of the best iterations.

Nice pickup and frankly this was a realistic basic impressions than some morons acting like paid parrots. Someone bought the Thar with those wheels? Or you sold them after swapping to stock? In my opinion it was either meant to be at an off-road academy or a rescue vehicle, not a daily driver. Tyre upsizing I can understand but stick to stock alloys and road tyres. The already trash ride becomes a series of rumble strips ride due to the buttons on the off-road tyres. Your patience is admirable - why do people honk so much, even when it’s red? I live in Bengaluru and the frantic honking here is more of a contest to get the sleeping drivers awake - but there it’s more of announcing his presence.
excellent review, well the question becomes, why not a fortuner then ?? the only reason I ask is I was thinking to upgrade to a hilux from my fortuner(now that I have purchased an Xpulse as well a Triumph something), I carry two bicycles(without any additional setup), a glider, + a dog and supplies..so a trailer seems like a better option in my opinion(can carry two motorbikes as well), the rear seat on a hilux as compared to a fortuner is slightly stiff and smaller, with the trailer(on the fortuner), I can accommodate more ppl or luggage(wife, parents, friends etc) in the fortuner let me know your thoughts, I saw your video on the punjabi trailer guy, I was working on that :D so my question becomes why not build a trailer behind a decent Sasti , masti kinda big second hand car instead of a brand new Hilux, any special reason apart from a nice looking massive brand new pick up truck with obviously a financial state to buy it also ? :)

Infact is stop is less than 30 sec then even its better to not put in N, n never put the vehicle in P if stop is less than 2-3 minute

Legality is a big problem with a trailer in India. And then you can't reverse it or take U-turns.
