This sermon here...in my top 5. For so long, I thought my story was over, but now it's time to pick up the pen. I've been a member of Elevation University City/Online since 2014, and words can't describe how much this ministry has changed my life. And this word was further confirmation that God has more to do through me, and that there's more to my story!
In 2018, I had just left a 17 year marriage… 17 just like the anniversary year of Elevation. I had a special man I called Moses because he started sharing the word with me in relatable ways. Do you know who the first pastor he ever shared with me was? Pastor Jentezen. For the last 5 years I’ve studied the word and learned from new pastors. That led me to Elevation a few years back. Pastor Stephen is my daily mana. This message is a moment when WORLDS COLLIDE for my heart. My first pastor celebrating the 17th anniversary of my current pastor. This is HOW GOD MOVES! He makes ALL things NEW and reminds us that He is still writing our story!!!! Thank you so much for this. Thank you Lord Thank YOU LORD!!!!!!!!
Thank you! I was at the end of the story. Writing my failures. Thank you for reminding me of the mighty presence of God in my life. Years and years of redemption. The enemy was reminding me of rvery failure and hopelessness. BUT GOD WROTE ANOTHER STORY!!!!
It’s ironic how he mentions the scribes would walk around Jesus and their primary focus was to tell him that he’s not abiding by Moses’s law; instead of focusing on what god, Jesus, is doing right in front of them and writing down these new miracles. And then, pastor Franklin turns around at the end and says that you have to focus on what’s in the book and only the stories of the past... Reiterating what the scribes had done and acting like god isn’t around us everyday teaching us how to trust, love and grow in him. And love others. Aren’t we supposed to pick up the pen? Continue writing? Continue learning and growing? I wouldn’t call it picking and choosing aspects of the Bible, but learning and growing from what’s been established. Expanding like the universe itself. I think it would be an incredible project to ask parishioners their testimonies and write them down. Like an extension of what the Bible is. A group of stories chosen to impart knowledge and guidance and show god’s grace. It would be beautiful. That’s what I was thinking as he talked about picking up our pens. Telling our stories of god and how he’s loved us and inspired us. I’m still thankful god spoke to me through this sermon. Thank you, Elevation.
I'm addicted to Elevation sermons. I'm going through the darkest time of my life now and the word of God spoken through your preachers has been like a soothing balm on a blistering burn. So grateful to have these to help me connect to my faith again. Lord knows I need it so. Thank you for what you all do.
Hold on! I’ve been through that dark place. It’s almost indescribable. It feels so foreign and yet it envelopes you so entirely. Listen to these sermons. When it feels overwhelming, try to remember to praise God. For even a little thing. Then praise him some more. But please know the light is coming, even before the change does if you hold on.

I'm so excited I get to visit for the first time tomorrow!! I've been watching consistently since the beginning of the pandemic, and God has used this church in mighty ways in my life. From being in psychosis, to watching this church weekly in rehab, to writing an EP with some of the musicians that help with Elevation Worship, it is going to be so full circle tomorrow being able to come in person. I'll probably be crying the whole time out of gratitude. God bless this church 🧡

I needed this today. I am homeless and have struggling with the instability for over a year after being married to a very abusive man. I have been sick several times during this homelessness experience, including having COVID-19. My dad was given 6 months to live in August and diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. My mother and siblings had disowned me in 2020. I just found out that I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first child, a gift a God that I am beyond thankful for. I am currently stranded in a city far from anything that I know. Before this I was sleeping in an abandoned building without power, bathroom or heat. I have never been more sure that my God is Jehovah Jireh but there are days that are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually draining. I thank God for His Holy Spirit, for this ministry and for making me dependent upon Him.
I don't know your complete story but I know that The Lord will send you to the right person at the right time and he will lead you in the right path, he will guide you and instruct you in the necessary steps. I pray provision over your life and I pray strength over your life the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,Amen
I'm watching from Redding, CA. I had a miscarriage almost 8 yrs ago. The grief it caused was nearly the death of me. But God.. He sustained my life. He sustained my marriage and my family. I have been watching Elevation church for many years now. The healing God has done in me has caused me to see life and God differently. All Glory to Him! I will write it down.
I needed to hear this ! Jesus is writing me another story.i have felt like that woman for a few years now, I feel like I got caught up in soul ties and bad relationships while I struggled to succeed at the toughest job I ever tried to accomplish, a Navy career. I allowed insecurities, and the spirit of fear and rejection turned my whole world down. I lived on a performance lie, and when I ended up not performing as I should, I broke my own heart and lost respect from mentors I truly cared about. 💔 I created my own worst nightmare and lost everything. It's has been extremely difficult to believe in myself again after I broke my own core values and struggled further in addictions. Judgments come from everywhere, and it wasn't until I found God and this church that I regained faith in the idea that my life isn't over,and it's not my final chapter. The pen is in the house,love is possible, restoration from brokenness and success can still be had, in Jesus' name, Amen. Happy 17 years Elevation, and God bless you all. I just saw a highlight clip watching Coffee Fam and I started bawling at the message I received from the Holy Spirit. I didn't finish watching Coffee Fam and cried through most of this message. This touched my soul more than I can describe. I haven't taken notes on a message in a while, but I had started taking notes at the beginning of the message. I'm a singer and a writer and have had the enemy going hard at my life for decades, but the worst of it started 9 years ago. When I was a kid, I felt God meant me for something great. Greater than I could imagine. I left the church for 22 years. This past year I was finally baptized and joined a church (still watch Elevation) and have been reading the Bible and praying faithfully. I know God is still working something big in my life. A couple weeks ago I felt the Spirit giving me a Word to write. I had been studying and reading, but I was so moved by the Spirit that I couldn't sleep without writing down the message. The next day I spent hours working on writing the vision I was given. I'm still working on it, but wanted to share that this message was for me. Thank you for filling my soul by the movement of the Holy Spirit through your spoken word!
As a writer what I hear from that story about Zebulon and their reward is that God will reward those who step into battle (step out) in faith, with the words they need in that moment. As Christ said, don't worry what you will say but the spirit will give you utterance. I don't think there's anything wrong with studying but if you're paralyzed the first thing you need to do is step out and write something, anything. It may not ever be published or even saved but sacrifice to God that control you're so desperately guarding and see if he will not strengthen your hands more and more.
