Craig is so approachable and a really nice guy. I captured one of the best photos of him when they were playing in Pinehurst - Alive After Five. Always an Embers Fan and follower.

Used to go to Red's (Beach Club) in Raleigh back in the 80's. Loved the Embers but sure miss Jackie Gore. He used to get gas at JC Pennys in North Hills and my dad would see him there on many occasions. Also, can't have Carolina beach music without General Jackson and The Chairmen of the Board (Carolina Girls, Sweet Southern Pearls) and The Band of Oz.

Where is Jackie Gore and Bobby Tomlinson? I can't remember the other original band members..... from back in the sixties and seventies. This is not the Embers sound I remember..... Perhaps if they played The Embers Burn You a New One", they could emulate some of those oldies and do those songs justice. I'm sorry, this is just not The Embers I remember.
Most of the originals have retired, but as far as I know Bobby Tomlinson still owns the band.
What a weak opening!
