- This is the no intros version of my Wicked inspired intermediate level ballet barre! All the music is from the Broadway Musical. This is right in the middle of difficulty - it will push beginners and streamline more advanced dancers. Feel free to wear your pointe shoes to further strengthen your technique. Hi I'm Kathryn!
I am a former soloist with the New York City Ballet and Miami City Ballet. When I was a young student, I was always looking for insights into the ballet world and how to improve my dancing as well as beauty and lifestyle tips. Now that I am a professional, it is my turn to share.
On my channel I make ballet, beauty, and lifestyle videos for everyone of all ages. My goal is help dancers improve and achieve their dreams as well as open up the ballet world to non dancers. Let's bring the joy back to ballet! Do you have 180 turnout?
Disney is wicked. Love your ballet videos, but please look into what is behind much of this music, and Disney. They love magic and sorcery, and their symbolism is power in the spell. Wicked has this and tries to make witches nice and normal. Kathryn - your ballet barres are amazing along with you as a teacher. Hope you can look more into this - or if you don't believe in witches, just look in the Bible in 1 Samuel 28 - Saul goes to a witch (medium) to talk to the dead (Samuel the prophet was dead already).
What does the Bible say about criticizing an acclaimed dancer who's literally giving us free ballet classes (and a world of good advice) out of the kindness of her heart? If you don't want to do this workout, because it's set to music from Wicked, then don't, but what Kathryn and the rest of us do, is our business.
@@emilyadams9986 Hi Emily! Just trying to bring attention to what is going on. Better to speak the truth and warn others, then to just go along because it makes people feel good. People who actually care are those willing to say something even if others might criticize them. Truth will always prevail. Hope you are blessed and do have a chance to read the Bible because your eyes will open to understanding the world in ways beyond the physical. This is the time of the great awakening!
