During a session of Hot Topics. Barbara Walters gives her review of the movie "Bruno". Walters believes that the movie was boring and very Pornographic for its rating. She also discusses her concerns over parents taking their children to see the movie. She also states that she didn't enjoy seeing closeups of penises and anal sex. - Zábava
So Barbara doesn't like gay stereotypes (Brüno) but foreigner stereotypes (Borat) are funny?
I love Brüno because it's not a story of a stereotypical gay man, it's a movie about stereotypes and homophobia. And it's hilarious. And I love the moments then celebrities make asses of themselves. Sasha Baron Cohen doesn't even need to make fun of anyone when people are making fun of themselves.
And also, I think this movie is a lot funnier than Borat. But maybe people like Borat more because they find racisim more acceptable to make fun of than homophobia.
Little people!?!?!? What an incredibly egocentric thing to say. Shame on you Barbara!
She clearly does air quotes, and is clearly referring to the idea the people being duped by Cohen are considered 'little people' by his team, which I don't agree with anyway.
HOLD UP! She is referring to the regular people in the movie as "little people"!?!? How fucking rude is that?!! That is one of the most elitist this I have ever heard!

Bruno was honestly one of the funniest films ive ever seen. The same way Quentin Tarantino uses excessive violence and 50shades was excessive sex baron Cohen is excessive dark humour. I loved it

I'd like to know exactly which parts of this movie are "boring"? What, like the love story with Bruno and his assistant? I love that stuff, the other actor plays it so serious it's great!
I wouldn't take kids to see "Bruno" either, but it is hilarious. I laughed and laughed. And really, I think Bruno is not as harmful for kids to see as a typical night of violence on American TV. Bruno is vulgar as can be, but it's not going to hurt anyone. It's a cartoon. No one could possibly take it seriously.
Barbara's complaints about bruno are the same as my homophobic male friends lol

In the US this film is rated R?! Was the censorship office on holiday or something!
Here in the UK, it is rated as an 18+, although a re-edited version is to be re-distributed as a 15+, in situ with the original version.
2:13 is Barbara making "quotation sounds" or LITTLE PEOPLE SOUNDS?! Is she making sounds to get little people to come to you? That's what I think.
Overall, a good movie. But, it wasn't great either. I didn't mind the touchy subjects. Those were actually the best parts of the movie :D and I respect Sasha for putting it out there for people to see. It's ok to joke about those things; ppl need to lighten up and get the stick out of their asses.
Going back to the movie, it wasn't funny through out. There were big chunks where nothing funny happens, but when it was funny, man, you laugh your ass off. In the end, worth watching for sure =)

Well I would hope a child wouldnt go see this. It is rated R. But other people can go see it. I for one can't wait! I'm hoping to go to the movies over the weekend. Besides, I don't think younger kids would get some of the things in the movie.
