6 YEARS, 300 HOURS, FIRST OIL CHANGE, BAD BOY ZT ELITE 747CC

  • You're not going to believe how this one ends. I do an oil change on my mower and what comes out is not good. The manual states that the oil should be changed after the first 8 hours. I'm not a mathematician but I believe 300 is just a little bit longer than 8. Here ya go, hope you enjoy.

You should put some new oil in it and change it again after a few hours when it's warm to get all the rest of the thick old oil out.

I have an older Dixon, bought new in 2009, I've never changed the oil, only add a little when she get low. Briggs engine! Mowers are THE most abused equipment on planet earth! You've inspired me to change the oil in my Dixon.
I have a brand new Maverick HD with the Honda engine, I can only hope it last as long as my Dixon!
You crack me up bro, I was literally laughing out loud. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words. Definitely don't do as I do. I'm an idiot. Lol. But, yes mowers are abused on a daily basis. Thank goodness the people who build them know people like us will be buying them. We take them for granted and they very seldom let us down. To bad kids these days can't be more like mowers.

  • @ronniegray437

One owner, never abused, clean service records no low balls I know what I got here.
But seriously I've had my rebel with the kawi, for two years now and like 200 hrs. I've bush hogged 5 acres of neglected junked horse field. I've found t post, rocks fence wire, foundations and probably enough car parts to build a complete mustang. The rear coil spring had to be the most interesting ordeal, two blades flew off. One my 5th set of blades this year alone. After seeing your video, it reminded me I forgot to do my first service. I have put this mower to the absolute worst conditions period and she's a champ, starts every time and don't miss a beat. Bad boy mowers are legit.

Love it. You and i are molded from the same piece of clay my friend. It kills me to hear about people who buy these things just to be like Hank Hill. I bought mine for exactly the same reason you did. I kick her ass everyday. I run her through the roughest shit possible. She gets beat up and knocked around constantly. On my property shes been stuck, high centered on stumps, wedged between trees and slid down my mountain. Shes been in 110 degree weather and -10 degree weather. Shes been rained on, snowed on, hailed on and ever survived a tornado. And after all that she still just sits there patiently waiting for the next time that she gets to go out in the yard and eat. If i could only get my wife to be more like my mower. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. I love hearing stories like yours.

It's a Kohler, it doesn't deserve an oil change. I have had nothing but troubles with every single Kohler I've ever owned. Even the new EFI engines, one of the EFI engines would just start sputtering and surging about once every hour and almost dies. Of course warranty was worthless since no one could figure it out, ended up finding it had a bad O2 sensor from the factory. And then all the command pros I had all started to use so much oil before the 500 hour mark they wouldn't even start without a new spark plug. Went to Honda and Kawasaki, been great. One of my 690 Honda's has 3500 hours on it and no troubles yet.

Kohler makes a great engine. That motor is made to run 1800 hrs. The biggest thing with engines is Keeping a clean air filter so they don't get dusted out. We have a Maverick Bad Boy 54" and its very well built. Mostly Happy with the cut quality.
