- hey guys, I hope you got a couple laughs out of me applying a full face of products I hate.... lolol i look like a cheeto nugget. If you are easily triggered or offended by strong opinions and humor I highly advise you to exit, thanks :) so here is the thing... I am allowed to not like a product because of its color. This is a video of me using products that I did not like, meaning it could be anything from the shade/color, application, wear etc. This is my personal opinion of products that are used on my own skin. Therefore, I did not like specific products because of their color on my OWN skin tone. I put a trigger warning in the beginning of the video, so don't say you weren't warned early on.

I didn't explain why the foundation got so orange on my skin, so here is me explanation! I purchased the Milani foundation in shade "2 Natural" and on the website it describes this color as being "for light skin with golden undertones" so the reason I was complaining about it was because of the awful oxidation that occurs after a bit of wear. This means that once the product was exposed to oxygen and put on my face the formula split up and turned a shade of orange. I apologize if I offended anyone, but that was definitely not my intent!

it's not the fact that color was off that made people offended it's the way you described it, you said nobody's skin is this color and that you look like a Cheeto so that's why it was offensive, some people are more "orange" skintone.

I'm a neutral shade leaning slightly cool and this foundation is straight up orange and oxidizes horribly. She's not wrong. It's ORANGE. not orange toned.

You need to chill, she didn't say she can't dislike the product, she was saying she wanted to see products that just don't work because if it isn't your color of course you aren't going to like it. Plus she asked politely, she wasn't being rude.
I believe Milani was originally made for black women or darker skin tones, which is why they don't have necessarily all the light colors and proper undertones for white or lighter skinned people.

Milani is a historically black makeup brand. I remember using Milani makeup like a decade ago. They were one of the only brands you could get in the drugstore as a black girl but then their blushes got really popular on CZcams and they extended their shade range to accommodate lighter skin tones... which I think is awesome!! Always better to be more inclusive. They actually make a 00 light foundation shade now that would suit Joby better!
I'm super light skinned, and super yellow. number 1 would fit me. number 2 would fit me if I tanned. It looks off on your cool toned skin. I have a pale cool undertoned foundation that looks pinky salmon on my skin, but I bet it wouldn't look that way on you. this foundation was made for WOC, like me with light/medium skinned tones. I do understand that you wouldn't get why the shade is the way it is. also yes my grammar is poop. :)
interesting....none of the recent products even go to my shade and I'm nowhere near dark skinned, just medium brown. maybe they're trying to be more inclusive, but forgetting the ends of both spectrums?

okay but contour is creating a shadow and shadows aren't warm toned lol. Warm toned skin tones (like mine) should be contoured with neutral undertones as a warm toned contour is legit a bronzer. They're two different things

I don't think you intended to offend anyone in this video, and I understand the comment you wrote trying to explain that. I also believe that there are many others who see your explanation and understand it as well. I think, however, that what upset people the most was how much more you complained in the video about the color of the product instead of talking more about the actual quality of it. You continuously insisted that "no one is this shade of orange", but there definitely are 🙂. I got the 01 wich was the lightest shade at the time and it looks even oranger on me soo it wouldn't have made a difference, I'm sure if I tried the new 00 shade it would still be way too orange based on how insanely bad the 01 is on me lawl

I don't see anywhere on the Milani website or in store that says it's not suitable for white/fair people, so they shouldn't advertise their products as being lighter than it is

Let me agree and say, girl yes, that mascara by maybelline BLOOOOOWS, you're not the first to say this, I have too and the Becca highlight disappeared off of my face within seconds and the Too Faced 'Better Together' palette was just all wrong (with the exception of 3 colors) but hey, these are my experiences and MY opinions no one elses just like you gave yours and filmed it for your subscribers. I PERSONALLY PREFER HONEST reviews by the people I watch on CZcams vs the sunshine & rainbow reviews where EVERYTHING is sugar coated and cash biased filled with bogus reviews. For this reason, I say THANK YOU.....the bottom line is its honest people that I personally enjoy watching that ultimately save me money! For that, I want to personally THANK YOU.

that doesnt mean its completely useless. i watched tonnes of videos to pick my colour of that foundation and it helped a lot. and as other people stated, she says shes super pale yet didnt buy the lightest shade. its not hard to just put in the work and do research beforehand

A lot of times they advertise as something light then comes in the mail looking light but oxidizes like shit.which again has to do with the formula:)

that's exactly what I said, just because the color doesn't suit her doesn't mean it's a shitty product.
She explained why the products were bad for her, not only just the shade match problem. Also, it kinda does seem like she tried. That powder she used to set her under eye would not take ANY product after being applied. You can see the clear line where it was not applying. I think she did good with what she had. Her eyeshadow looked good despite the crappy quality.

Sarah Charlie I see where you're coming from, but in the bottle I think it said shade 2 and that it's good for light skin tones with gold UNDERTONES but it oxidized. So that's why it didn't work for her skin.

I usually love her honesty and I just think that her videos are unique. But only for this one video, she says it's something that she DOESN'T LIKE. But what I've found is especially for her foundie and cream contour, it is because of the shade. Not because of the formula or the texture, but it's because something that we can choose on our own. It's okay if the selection range sucks, but you must have other products that you hate literally based on the feel or the formula. not the shade. I really get it if people are offended. If shade 2 was too dark then here's a crazy suggestion try shade 1 😂 and obviously that contour stuff isn't gonna work for you because you're too pale. Hope you know you're not the only skin tone out there.

Everyone who's commenting about her being insensitive or racist... seriously what point are you trying to get across? Do you really think she meant it that way? If you've ever bought makeup online you probably know that sometimes it's hard to find the right shade. On the Milani website the shades look way lighter than that are and that's before oxidation. Plus these foundations are known to oxidize a lot. Sure, what she said could come off poorly if you want to take it that way, but I'm almost certain that she was just being "extra" when she was explaining how tan/orange the shade was compared to her skin. Heck I've bought foundations that were super orange and/or unnatural looking. Anyone who has bought makeup for a while, has probably bought a shade that looked super odd, and if not congrats. This video was Meant to be salty. Just look at the title. If you seriously have a problem with her then don't watch her videos anymore. Simple as that.

I have shade 00 fair in Milani and it's still super dark!! The body shop does something called 'lightning drops' that I mix in with it and it becomes the perfect shade! 😊
