Great video David. Some excellent suggestions here.
I agree that books aimed at young adults are a great choice for English learners.
Totally agree with the first 3.
I also think that anything Terry Pratchett is another good option, (The amazing maurice and his educated rodents is great) as well as the first 3 Harry Potter books.
