One of the items they offer is a polisher, which can be useful for a variety of tasks, including car detailing. In this post, we'll take a look at the Harbor Freight polisher and see how it compares to other options on the market.
First, let's talk about the basics of the Harbor Freight polisher. This is a dual-action polisher, which means that it oscillates as it spins, reducing the chances of creating swirl marks on your vehicle's paint. It's powered by a 6.5-amp motor and comes with a 5/16 inch orbit diameter, which is suitable for most detailing tasks.
One of the standout features of the Harbor Freight polisher is its price. At just $50, it's significantly cheaper than many other polishers on the market. This makes it an attractive option for those on a budget or those who are new to detailing and aren't sure if they want to invest in a more expensive tool.
So, how does the Harbor Freight polisher perform? Overall, it seems to be a decent tool for the price. Many users have reported that it's easy to use and gets the job done, although some have noted that it can be a bit finicky and may require some adjustments to get it running smoothly. Some users have also reported that it can be a bit loud, so you may want to wear ear protection if you plan on using it for extended periods of time.
In conclusion, the Harbor Freight polisher is a budget-friendly option that can get the job done for basic detailing tasks. While it may not be as powerful or refined as some of the more expensive options on the market, it's a good choice for those on a budget or for those who are new to detailing and want to try out a polisher before committing to a more expensive tool.

I've never polished a car before but this is how i thought it would be done and probably how i would cluelessly do it, I'm glad to see it worked out well! I'll try it on my car this method too!!
Used it for the first time last weekend definitely worth buying if you're a person who likes detailing your own car recommend first time to use on lowest setting 800 so you don't burn paint don't leave in one spot keep moving it over paint easy to use czcams.com/users/postUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 truck looks like new again used maguires black light battery life like all milwaukee products seem to hold up well 😀
I got the bauer da for $50 open box and I think it might be my favorite tool I’ve ever gotten from HF, good video 👍
Hey man! Great deal! It’s a great little unit! Polishing cars is sooooo underrated in the car community. Makes a huge difference 🔥🔥
I love that cord bumper joke. classic 😂
My sweat drips and gets mixed up with the rubbing compound but the end result with the Bauer DA is amazing 1986 Porsche 928S
IMO you cannot beat the Bauer long throw polisher from HF. The Rupes 5" backing plate bolts on with no mods and it vibrates less. Also change the grease in the HF to lithium or Lucas Red and Tacky to make it quieter - $80 without any discounts.
Arm speed way to fast for correction speed. Also no need to turn it up to the top. Your just stressing out the clear coat!!
Hell ya man im totally going to get one of these. Looks like you cant beat it for the price👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
hey brother! Oh man it's a great unit to have around for any cars. Takes some years off my old beaters haha
Nice result Jon. I got a $60 polisher and it is doing a great job! Dutch regards, Nico.
Thanks Nico! The shop cars def. need some polish haha
What a difference, thanks for sharing!
surprisingly this is cheaper today, got mine for $55
Price is $69 right now but they have a coupon for $30 off so I got it for $39 and love it.
Good work Shaun!
still have that coupon?
@@kingzzyt-2310 I deleted it after I used it and can't find it anywhere online. Im sure they will have another coupon this year
If you join the member ship it’ll turn out to be $39 but it’s a $30 membership fee. Even then it’ll still be $69 but you’ll have that membership basically free. Still end up paying $68 total but you have that 1 year membership
@@Avvmedia I didn't do any membership. If you keep an eye out you may find that coupon for $30 off.
Need a Habour Frieght over here
Nice 👍
BK! Ya they are legendary! Such cheap good stuff 🙂
this guy funny as hell lmao, nice vid
Stupid question but does a polisher liquid just polishes and a compound liquid cuts it correct?
Right now they r doing a deal, u can get it for 39 bucks, get it quick!
Great vid man. Love it
Thanks man
Any idea why this model acelérate itself? Like I have at the lowest rpm and it doesn’t stay like that, does anybody have the same problem and what causes it ?
I just found a polisher for 30 bucks at auto zone and I’m rlly rlly debating it
price update - just picked this up at HF for $40 during one of their "parking lot sales"
Did you clay bar it prior ?
No, don’t always have to imo unless it’s really contaminated
@@jspeedracing thanks I love you
Pretty good results for a quick buffer blast!
Oh it’s a great little unit! Great to have around the shop for the drift cars and projects 🔥👍
5 inch Norco fiber pad the best try it
will do!
why the tape?
Can I detail outside on a windy day or no?
Yes
Chicago Electric, not Bauer.
As far as harbor freight goes Chicago electric are the crappiest cheapest line, Bauer the middle ground, & Hercules a better grade. Harbor freight no longer only has cheap stuff and there is a definite difference between the different brands. That's not to say that some Chicago electric aren't worth while but if you want to title it Bauer then get a Bauer and do side by side testing and tear them apart or something and let's see if it's really the same. Never seen a Chicago electric anything as good as the other two yet myself so it would be interesting if it really is "pretty much a Bauer".
No complaints about the DA but their pads suck.
I have a 1926 ford has nickel plated trim I would like to polish the trim, any suggestions, Thanks in Advance
Use blue polish
Hmm not bad for $50
Unfortunately 75 now
Watch for it to go on sale! Got it for 60 a few months ago.
Way too much talking! Just freaking use the thing already!
