It all depends on what your requirements for the lab are. If you are asking about the Entra ID License level for a home lab...if you don't care about needing to rebuild it every once in a while...I would go with FREE! If you want just in time user elevation then you need P2 In my lab I have all the different levels of licenses because I am making videos for all kinds of stuff which you may not need to do.

Yes and no…if you only have 1 P2 license you will have access to all those advanced features…for the 1 user who has the license. In my world I have 35 users, 3 admins So I use 3 P2 licenses, 25 P1 and the rest are just basic Make sense?

I don’t think so. Entra ID is just 1 of the Entra family of products. Here is the list Microsoft Entra ID Microsoft Entra ID Governance Microsoft Entra External ID Microsoft Entra Verified ID Microsoft Entra Permissions Management Microsoft Entra Workload ID Microsoft Entra Internet Access Microsoft Entra Private Access
LOL well in my previous video I showed how Entra ID is Azure AD renamed, but Entra has a new portal AND there are new services added to the Entra service. So this video is starting Entra services from from scratch with the basics of Entra ID
I have Microsoft Entra ID Sync working and now I need to decommission the local onsite Active Directory and only use Entra, any guides on that and any gotcha?
If you want to get rid of your AD Domain completely You will need to convert the users from synced AD users to cloud only users This is done with a PowerShell command Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled -EnableDirsync $false learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/msonline/set-msoldirsyncenabled?view=azureadps-1.0 Also make sure all devices are Entra Cloud Joined, NOT Hybrid joined…otherwise there will be lots of errors
