RIP Brian Drebber.
Been hearing his voice since 1980.
Coming up on 2 years now I think.
Eddie... the best bike racer of all time!
One thing Eddie said that stuck with me was, 'if you are going to crash, then better to crash early and save the engine'..
That summed up his approach to strategy and winning.
the best rider of his generation: fast and consistent.
RESILIENT ABSOLUTE RESILIENT MAN....incredible amazing genuine person!!
So deserved. Pro's make the difficult look easy... No one made it look so effortless.
My hero, what an incredible human.
Also a 2 time "Superbikers" champion on Yamaha YZ490's at Carlsbad! The best of the best!
eddye 💪💪💪💪
For me the best ever ! when i was a little kid watching the Marlboro Yamaha with him on top winning everything ,exactly there where two of them Yamaha,s always in front fighting eachother what i can remember, later on came the rothmans Honda mixing in the fights ,in a field of only great riders riding on bike,s who behave themselves like wild bulls no electronics, 2 strokes and supersmall powerbands and way too much horsepower for one Wheel ,pure talent and skills these guys, in that time and era they where the Real Deal!
Very much seconded.
he is STILL the man
I met Eddie. ........ It was at a LA Motorcycle Expo 1988 ...... He was so rude ...... I hope our paths never cross again ........ I don't have time for people like that ....... I was so into motorcycles at that time and he was one of the greats ...... I didn't need to get kicked in the nuts by him .........
IL PIÙ GRANDE PILOTA DI SEMPRE.
EDDIE!!!!!!
I was fortunate enough to see Eddie, Kenny, and Freddie race against each other (1983 as I recall, Laguna Seca) while all three were in or very near their prime. IMHO fast Freddie Spencer was the fastest… though steady Eddie had the longer and more successful overall racing career. To a great era of racing and great American racers! Cheers!
Eddie frozen in time and I was there.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
randy mamola, fredie spencer, ron haslam
Also did quite well on a Honda and a Kawasaki.
Left Yamaha after poor treatment by the team ... and won on a Honda. 😮
Yamaha
Any diehard fans happen to know if eddie lawson ever signed a fj 1100
Never heard of him......
No mention of Ago fucking Yamaha out of the title in 89 by lying to Ed about the Marlboro money. Not to mention the work Ed did for Honda, setting up that program to win later in the 90's.
Lawson Fan Eddie always Champ!!
