I have been sitting on my Amber Morimoto XB 2 for almost a year now, waiting on the matching tail lights in April. Got the same set up your aiming at minus Apillar. Can’t wait to see it finished good Luck.

I believe you can go into forscan and make the foglights come on with the drl if that's something you'd want. You can also do what's called Bambi mode which will keep the fogs on with the high beam
If you have the white drl version of these listen up. If you have forscan and want to have amber drl, go into forscan and enable parking lights as drl. When the headlights are off, it will be amber. When headlights are on, it the drl bar will turn back to white. Best of both worlds. Thats how i run them on my F350
so your telling me i can buy the white DLR version and turn them into amber? i currently have a 2019 f250 and i been looking for the amber drl version but there are hard to find without having to spend a ton of money. it would be really helpful to know.
@@stacyvazzYes, you can. There’s a lot that you can do with FORSCAN. Personally I haven’t done it on my F-150, but I did it on my ‘17 Fusion.

Hey guy love your channel! I too did not realize i could have bought the amber ones , but my truck is white (2017 SC Roush) so it matches nicely. Are you going to get the new Morimoto tail's? I have the Recon's now.....their nice but i'm thinking the new smoked tails would be nicer.
I had the morimoto gen 1 tails. Placed a preorder for the gen 2’s back in November. However, they keep pushing back the release date.
Lights look great! So maybe a dumb question. The Morimoto lights for the Raptor option on their website? I thought there was a difference and the Raptor style wouldn’t fit our trucks.

I always recommend adding a second bead of water seal around the headlight so no water or moisture getting inside the headlights
Never had condensation in my first set so don’t find the need.
🔥🔥. Pretty much the exact build and mods I want lol.Do you have any regrets with going with the all black exterior? Every CZcams vid, the black looks great but in person the black can be questionable cause every dust partical stands out lol. Debating between the all black or a matte beige with all black accents cause I don’t see that too often
Black is tough to stay on top of in term of the cleanliness. However, I am enjoying it despite my very particular mindset it takes work to keep clean, but it’s worth it.
Is the Amazon link you have posted in the description for the Amber DRL version of the Morimoto lights? From what I’m seeing it looks like the LED Drls.
The ambers seem to be unavailable at this time. Only the white drl’s look like they are available.
Installed these over weekend, the Install Manual says normal operating mode for low beams is just the top 2 projectors on, however like your's it looks like all 4 are going with low beam. Wonder if mistake in pdf guide or I missed something in Forscan
Bottoms ones are not on. Just the reflection of the top two leds on. When the high beams are on, the bottom two LED’s click on.
I just picked up the same Morimoto XB lights, curious to what fuse # you tapped into with the drl harness? I know Morimoto says to use #113 but I've seen/read others using fuse #93, 95, 97. I'm asking because my drl ambers aren't functioning as they should right now. Any info would be much appreciated!

I have the gen 2 amber drl morimoto headlights, they truly look amazing! However I feel like I may need to change what fuse I tapped into. The headlight knob inside the truck that allows you to function and turn the healdights on/off doesn't seem to affect or work with the morimoto lights. Worked just fine with OEM headlights. I'd like to be able to drive around during the day with only my drls on. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
You have to go into the gauge cluster and turn drl off under lighting.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I looked at that, I don't have that option in the gauge cluster on my truck, for some reason there is only autolamp delay.
Not sure if I have commented this before but have you looked into doing a 2016 headunit swap? Because the 2016 model has Apple car play and android auto and it seems like a decently easy swap and probably decently cheap if you can find a parted out f150 on market place also I think it updates the interior look a little more.
Yes I have. There is a guy that does the swap as you need more than just the unit itself. I’ve been looking into aftermarket units as well, but most likely will go with the sync 3 unit to keep it simple.
I've had the 14.4 AutoTecPro screen in my truck for a few months now. Retains sync 3, Ford pass, steering wheel controls. Wireless Android auto and apple car play. Can watch Netlix on the big screen in my truck. Best thing I've done to truck. And it has over 20k in mods.

The ones I put in my truck have been way to high in adjustment.

Not normal. The plugs aren’t fully seated and connected.

Any idea why might lights are on during day time driving? I was hoping only the DRLs would stay on during day time driving.
You need to go into the dash screen and settings. Go to lighting and uncheck the drl.

Amber is always on whether lights are on or off.

I got same lights.. when driving and having your lights on automatic are both drl and headlights on… I wanted for headlights to turn on automatically at night
Yes the drl’s stay on no matter if the headlights lights are on or off.
@@Scoobyfreak86 sorry if my question was confusing. I want drl on but not headlights when driving. I currently have light knob in automatic and I thought that only drl would stay on and not the headlights. I only wanted headlights to turn on when dark outside.
@agricon8524 turn off the drl on the gauge cluster. Go to vehicle and lights. Uncheck the drl.

I just found out that the Morimoto headlights do not have replaceable lights if you had to replace a burn out light. They look cool as hell, but they cost nearly $2k for a set of them and that is just too damn expensive for a headlight that cannot replace a bulb when it goes bad. I still think I would love to have a set, but I need to research it more before making this decision.
They are led. Any led lighting requires a full replacement.

Yep everything works exactly like stock. All functions the same.

How do you adjust the alignment?
There is a white knob behind the headlight that is accessible via 10mm wrench. Tighten/loosen to raise or lower the cutoff.

I align them in this video towards the end. Look on the back of the headlight on the top and look for the white plastic nut. Tighten/loosen to raise and lower the cutoff.
