Everyone deserves a modicum of respect at the start. If they then prove they are unworthy of such by not giving others that same respect, then I revoke an equal amount of respect for them. My question is, if a regular person is prohibited from reacting to mere words with violence, why would we allow a police officer to do so. I agree with Beau, as soon as this is challenged in court, this law is gone-assuming it becomes law.

I ask just because I work for a Fortune 100 company that deals in financial products and insurance and our legal team objects to/strikes down any terminology being used that is subjective. For example we could never market a product as being the "best" or any other term that could be opinion-based. I always wondered if they were being paranoid but it made sense because using words like that aren't objective in any way. Also it is funny that these are the same people who tell a black person that the n-word is just a word and to get over it, but they want carte blanche when reacting with physical force to anything they deem inappropriate.
