I think this is the best I've seen on coffee dying paper, it's not messy and the sponge controls how much you put on the paper. I like the idea of putting it on top of the heater. Thanks Cathy I will be doing this.
You have made my day❤ . This morning I needed some pastel colors of dyed paper and I went to my kitchen cabinet and found some old packs of water flavor and koolaid!! I had a fun time, learned you don't need more than about 2 cups of water for those koolaid packs to work- and the paper smells good too. Thanks for the coffee class and have a wonderful day😀❤ JudyfromGA
I never realized all instant coffees were not made equal when it came to color. I also buy whatever is just on sale and make a bigger batch to put in the fridge. Love the idea of the huge foam brush over doilies and adding that to my list of things to do. I love the ones that never turned out, they sorta look antique-ish. I just want to say how much I love your short-to-the-point videos that are so easy to follow. Have a blessed day ☺♥
Thanks so much for this video. I love and hate the coffee dying process. Hate how long it takes but love the results. This way I can just do it on the go and I love it. Never thought of it 😅 Thanks so much!❤ Edit: I kept going wow... The whole video😅 of course I didn't wait to watch to comment on your video. I am addicted to your channel ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Cathy! I've watched other coffee dying tutorials and your tutorial is easier and makes the most sense to me. I wonder, would you ever consider doing a craft room tour?
Cathy Thanks for the tutorial this is perfect, I was always afraid to use paper doilies because they are so fragile I thought they would tear. Wow great result, which now has got me thinking about those dye cuts even the negative hmmmm must experiment.
Well I like your method way better then coffee dying in a bath of coffee. I didn't know different brands are dif colors. I do know my son ordered some instant and I swipe some it had a flavor in it so coffee had redish tint.
Thank you for the tips. I have one for you. I use mint tape or Washi might even work, I tape the doilies to my paper. It helps holding them still and I just dab coffee on the small part where I take the tape off. I like the idea of using a sponge brush. I wondered how you coffee dyed the back of printed paper. 😁. Now I can try.
I have wanted to ask for your coffee dying technique for the longest time and there it is!! Would have never thought of doing them individually- thank you for sharing!!
Oh Wow I've been wanting to know how you coffee dyed your papers! They are so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm going to give it a try. Looks alot less complicated. Great tips on the mixture of coffees as well.
Cathy, this is so timely. I've been meaning to leave a comment requesting a video on this exact topic. I've never seen this technique before. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to try it soon!
I was wondering, what is a standing heater? Is that like a radiator that plugs into the wall or some kind of hotplate? Do you lay it directly on top of the heater or in front of it? Thank you for your lovely and cheerful tutorials, yours is my very favorite channel!
Elizabeth, It’s a standing heater but I doesn’t get real hot. I never leave the papers on it! Now it’s warmer outside and I dry them outside on a bench. Using the same technique. 💐🥰
Thank you for this video! I've been wanting to try coffee dying my papers but on other videos it's a long process, yours seems super easy! I can't wait to try it!
So in watching the splatters I’m wondering if you add some baking soda to the coffee and create bubbles to dip your paper in, let dry then coffee dye again! I might have to try that!
I was looking for how to make that kind of paper, this video has been very useful for me. What paper weight should I use? Thank you very much and a hug.

Well I only use the heater in the wintertime. In the warmer months I dry my papers outside. 💐🥰
Thanks for the tips on coffee dyeing! Natural dyes are the best :)
I love the splatters. Allowing them to dry before adding a topcoat of coffee mixture is genius.

Hi Cathy, is it possible for you to show the heater you use? I'd love to get one it dries your papers quickly 😊 thanks again for sharing your tips!
I have a camera that is mounted over my table, I don’t take it down. So I’m unable to show you a picture of it. It is an electric heater. 💐🥰

Monica, The paper is copy paper, the weight I don’t know.💐🥰
What kind of heater are you using? Love your videos
Busy Bee Jordon, It’s a standing electric heater. 💐🥰

How long will it last in the refrigerator? I’ve heard some people add a drop of alcohol to make it las longer.
Nancy, Right you can add the alcohol. My coffee slurry never last long enough to go bad! 😂🥰💐
Can you tell what heater you use to dry your paper?
It doesn’t have a name on it it’s electric with heat settings. 💐🥰
What kind of standing heater r u using?
I the winter time I use an electric standing heater. In the summer time I dry them outside. 💐🥰
Do you iron these papers
Jim, No I didn’t iron these papers.
