Someone called Ariel Posen a fire-breathing monster. That's what he is.
He opened the world for me to a complete different guitar playing. Great!

Loving (and questioning) the fact I’m watching a professional guitarist / teacher sounding like someone who just picked up the guitar last week😂.
Really lovin this series with Ariel. Seen him live earlier this year and he sounded amazing!

Justin I totally love that you have someone showing you something. Like a sensei going to another sensei with his pupil. Super cool bro.

@@justinguitar It's so refreshing to see a teacher say that they have so much to learn. I can't imagine most of my teachers ever saying that sort of thing.

I played with a slide guitarist once. The sounds were so cool. I might add it to my skill set later. Glad to see its part of your tutorial bank. Thanks. 🙋🏻‍♂️

10:07 The whole lesson is gold, but for me this is THE moment Ariel shows he has the soul of a great teacher! Not "OK, do it like this." or "I'll show you..." or "Let me explain...", but ASKS, "What do YOU notice you have to do...?" That just SLAMS home the learning. Thanks for this.

that slide lick at 11:48 is so good to practice with a metronome (as so many things are). start slow and work your way up, almost like a drummer trying to speed up a rudiment. also ive noticed that lick is easier if you keep your ring finger planted on the 3rd fret

Also I dont know where all this stuff come from out of nowhere with the slide and fretting stuff from joey landreth and ariel posen.. who learned first, did you guys study the same sort of things and did you work together or was just a coincidence? for lack of a better word its almost like a slide revolution or something. I know sonny landreth did alot of behind the slide stuff, but you guys have ran with that and doing more melodic lines and major chord stuff..

It's not as complicated as it seems. Just pretend that the slide is your finger and then play guitar.
