The âsimplicityâ of the packaging gets to me. Like idk what it is but itâs just so attractive.
Sometimes when packaging is to colourful it sometimes just look cheap and kiddy like Claireâs. You feel me.
Less is MORE
Luxury brands don't need to catch your eye on a store shelf. Sometimes they still are gaudy but that's by choice or for a flex.
Yup. He lets the product shine
Yes! Tbh, sometimes packaging can feel overwhelming and it drives me away.
I don't think I've ever watched a video by either of the Welsh twins and not learned something. Mvp of CZcams award needs to be a thing. Just out here educating and making the world a better place.
Thank you so so much!! đ€đ€
@@RobertWelsh thank you! Totally just made my day đ
So true - Iâm always here for the education đ
Agreed!
omg, i never realised theyre twins.....
I am 55 years old and had given up on makeup until I started watching you. You have given me the courage to try new things. I have really learned a lot from your videos. Thank you so much!
45 and same.
53... same. He's so classy without the "now ladies of a certain age can't do this..."
43 and alwaysđ€đ€ Robert's definitely a great teacher!!!
Same here Iâm 40 and loving learning from him⊠I am so glad he drops in tips for us - I liked todayâs one âdonât put the highlighter here if you have fine linesâ Rodger that! So where is the safest place for someone with fine lines around the eyes and wrinkles on the forehead? đ€ just wonderingâŠ
@@its2hard2findaname Iâm in my 20s but still have pretty decent wrinkles around eyes (probs due to smoking cigs for years now) & deep ones on my forehead so the spots I hit are highest points of cheekbones without getting too close to the eye (make sure to not bring too far inward on your face either to give a more lifted look, I usually bring it even/level w/ my pupil & no further, if not a lil before that point), I always hit my Cupidâs bow w/ highlight as well bc thatâs my fav spot to put it but thatâs personal preference ofc, BARELY dust down the bridge of my nose & make sure to wrap the cheekbone highlight around your eye/temple up to the brow but without going in the area that Robert went if that makes sense??? Hope this helps! Sometimes Iâll also lightly dust it above the end of my brows on my forehead but not always
Nothing sells a highlighter better than Robert's happy noises. I guess I need that specific one then!
Totally agree! đ
If youâd like a cheaper alternative, pleeease try Physicians Formula shimmer brick! (Not the shimmer strip, specifically the one thatâs shaped like a square!) I think theyâre maybe intended to be eyeshadows but I use it as highlight & itâs the EXACT type of formula where it looks like a lit from within type of glow instead of actual shimmer/glitter! Itâs the only highlight I use nowadays & my man lovessss it on me as well!đ (bonus, thereâs sooo many different shades in it so it cld work for so many different skin tones & you cld always use them as eyeshadows or blush toppers as well since thereâs pink shades in it too!)
@@SkittleMcPhee23 I currently use a Ted Baker eyeshadow palette in the same way haha it literally says eyeshadow but all of them are shimmers and look like amazing highlighter when worn.
But I need the one Robert was happy about. It is clearly superior.
Right?!?!? đđ
I just love Roberts happiness when reviewing the highlighter Look Look Look âIâm looking Robert and it Looks Fabulousâ mmmm. Love It xxx
đ€đ€đ€đ€
@@RobertWelsh have to say getting those đ€đ€đ€đ€ from you has made my day đ€xx
I love your excitement for good quality products. Itâs very obvious that you are a makeup artist reviewing products made by a makeup artist and both of you care about your craft and the real world use of the products.
Thank you so so much! đ€đ€
âYouâre a raven right?â đđđ
I agree Robert, I'd kill for air conditioning in our summerđ. Winter is definitely for me. Would love the whole Mario range....one day perhaps đ.
Robert *Thank you so much for joining me*
Literally all of us *Where else would we sooner be damnit!?*
Finally products that look absolutely amazing in person for natural looks! I love the blush and contour sticks. Worth every cent! đ„°đ„°đ„°
No shame in an out the window AC. I grew up in NYC and thatâs what most of us did and still do in older buildings.
me too!
growing up in the deep south (south alabama, on the coast), we would install window AC units to help the central system along. because it's hot for a minimum 8 months out of the year. they really do help! i used to set it at 68° with the fan at full blast and sit in front of it lol
The window ACs are the absolute best value. I would have bought one but my window in my rental is over the carpark so it's a hazard. We got a portable one - twice as expensive - but that was last summer and it's been on almost every day since in the bedroom... I've never slept so good in my life.
Lived with them in a 100 year old house in suburbs of Cleveland, grew up with Central. When I moved to Lakewoodwe bought a house in the fall...I didn't think about AC...oy. I actually stopped doing makeup in spring and summer bc it was so hot in our house it would just Melt off! đ„”
I have the cream blushes and bronzers also the highlighter. I absolutely love them all. They really are âunclockableâ on the skin. So so pretty!!

-Robert so excited for this highlighter!
I love it! đ
I wish the shade range was better. The darkest bronzer still isnât available at Sephora and I had to get the deepest shade in the contour. Oheema couldnât even try the products. Itâs a shame considering the formula looks nice
Fingers crossed the line becomes more inclusive x
Which is why I just won't buy anything from the brand, as a makeup artist I would've expected Mario to know better than to release such a limited shade range.
I didnât even understand why they sent it to oheema when she couldnât use it. Someone in the PR department dropped the ball
I'm looking at this collection and I can't even disillusion myself into thinking the contours or bronzers will work on me. And I don't care to wait on any shade expansions anymore because I'm simply over dark skin being an afterthought to these brands. The highlighter looks cute, though.
I love that Robert has normalized a more subtle make up look versus always so full coverage! However.. the way he does those looks with the amazing colors.. just wow! You're my favorite Robert â€đ€!!!
This is how Blush needs to be done, so beautiful!!! to Chanel & HermĂšs, take notesâš
I've only heard nothing but great comments about this new collection! Can't wait to try đ
I feel you on no AC. Iâm in Alberta Canada and we have like 2 months of summer so I always say itâs not worth it to get an AC, then we get a heatwave (up to 38-39c) this week and Iâm like why havenât I had an AC installed yet??? Every year I say thatđ. Currently misting myself today to keep cool.
I definitely want to eventually try some of these products, they look beautiful on everyone Iâve watched! đ€
They are so good! It was hard to find any fault!!
The cream collection is very tempting to me. I've tried other cream products but didn't have the best luck with them and it's probably due to my application technique as I'm not used to them.
I really like how the cream blush sits on your skin: straight-on, you do see the color but from a profile it's much more subtle. The highlighter is absolutely lovely.
The only quibble I might have is with the brush ends and the potential for fraying when the cap is replaced, that might be a issue.
I think Mario did a nice job with this face collection.
You should try the Lisa Eldridge cream blushes. Theyâre super lightweight yet somehow are the only blushes that last on my skin. The best part is they blend so easily and seamlessly that it surprised me.
I have hooded eyes and I've always been afraid of doing makeup... That was until I found your channel đ I've learned sooo much from you and now I am more confident with using eyeshadows and expressing myself đ
Ps. Because of you I have way too much items on my list of makeup to buy đ
Jamie french is also really good for shadow looks on hooded eyes! And Smitha Deepak. I have hooded eyes too and between robert and the ones mentioned above theyve rekindled my love for eye shadow and ive started wearing it again đ€đ€đ€
Since starting a am/pm skin care routine, I find I don't really need make, though since watching ur videos I love do my make and am getting very good at it, I like a more natural look.. Thank u.
I love your little giggle of delight when you really like a product/collection. Thanks for another fab review â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Happy Sunday, Robert!! I hope you had a phenomenal weekend!! đđ€đđ€đđ€
Staceeeey! Hope u are having a good weekend! đ€đ€đ€đ€
I am SO EXCITED to see Robert use CREAM products đ Despite having oily skin I am also aging and find creams look so natural and make me produce less oils. These look lovely. They remind me of Westman Atelier and I adore her contour and blush sticks đ
Speaking of highlighters that one looks gorgeous! It reminds me of Danessa Myricks dew wet balms but in a cream
Iâm in the middle of the heatwave in the Pacific Northwest. Iâm melting, too!! Bug at least I know Robert will have me looking fab!
Darling Robert, I have misophonia and even I would happily listen to a fan noise if it means youâre more comfortable.
But donât tell my partner that pls as I almost kill him every time he makes the tiniest noise imaginable when he eats. đ© đ€Ł
Stooooop I completely understand! Iâm so sorry! I also have misophonia but with metal noises! đ€
@@RobertWelsh oh mannnn đ© Iâm so sorry, Robert. I feel for you so much! Itâs so hard to explain isnât it? I get anxious and irrationally angry at eating sounds, mechanical buzzing, some tapping. And if Iâm super tired basically every noise đ€Łđ€Ł đ€
Eating sounds are so obscene. I would not do well in countries where they slurp their food. I know it's supposed to open up the flavors but it makes my skin crawl. Like I get offended, for no reason.
@@RobertWelsh and when glass bottles rub togetherâŠgagđ€đ
I have misophonia with eating noises! My man gets a firm glare from me if I hear him eating lol

YES GIRL
I love how excited you get about a good product!!!
That highlighter looks so smooth! And I think Mario is such a amazing artist that it isn't a suprise that his products are so good. Thanks for a nice review!
Oooo I have been waiting to see your review on these products!!! đđđđđ. Love you Robert!!!
Yes! I was hoping you would review these- I just watched your first makeup by mario video yesterday actually. I cant decide if I should pickup the bronzer or the sculpt stick...I gotta say you sold me on the cream blush.
I just bought the highlighter Golden, by Mario. And Iâm in love ! No doubt , I will be buying more highlighters by Mario.
These products look lovely đ love the look of the contour and the bronzers. The packaging is *chefs kiss* too đđ
I love watching you fall in love with a product and these are stunning!
Omg! I love it when you get so excited. Youâre so cute! In a motherly way đ©đ»âđŠł
My favorite makeup launch this year †It looks so beautiful IRL and in pictures. It's soft yet impactful.
I live by cream blush. I love the natural softness of it and it's easy to re-apply if I need to. I definitely want to try that beautiful dusty rose color! It's amazing!
Itâs the ââšbiiiiitchâšâ laugh for me with the highlighter đ€Łđ€Łđđœâ€ïžâđ„
the highlighter looks INCREDIBLE. the way it brightens the inner corner of your eyes without being shimmery/glittery...stunning.
That looks delicious. Love the subtlety of the highlight. Iâve been getting into cream products lately and have really enjoyed them. Love your channelđ
just got the soft sculpt cream contour and blush sticks, and I have to say I am SO impressed with how beautiful it sits on the skin. I also agree with you about the pigment - I think both sticks will last quite a long time. LOVE the final look! đ€
I love watching your videos Robert!! I look forward to them all the time! âĄ
I absolutely love this! It also works really well on skin that has no foundation on it!
They look beautiful on camera! I tend to avoid cream contour/bronzers they always seem to oxidize orange on my skin... even in powders I tend to use eye shadows for contour as most "contour" products are just too orange or ruddy...
That is one of the most beautiful highlighters I've ever seen. Of all of the products I think I'll be adding that one to my cart.
Looking at the finished look, your skin looks so youthful & smooth! Absolutely stunning.
That highlight looks incredible.
One of the nicest collections in a very long time. He just nailed everything perfectly. You look stunning đ€©
The highlighter looks so beautiful! Youâre also looking fabulous as always! đđ€
Love your videos!! As a 40 ish woman, I would love to see a video for women who have some wrinkles and don't want their makeup to highlight every single one. Tips & tricks for us â€
I'm so glad you reviewed this! I'm wondering about Scott Barnes. U dont look tired btw :)
Yay! So excited! Robert you make my dayđ
Robertâs giggle after the highlighter sold me! Deciding on Pearl or Golden (Olive skin). Thxsurmuch for everything Robert!
Whenever I go back to China, even places as far south as Guilin & Nanning do not have A/C. People able to afford it can get room or window units. I had to survive in 95 F/85 - 90% humidity with nothing but a room A/C unit that I can't always use, and you also can't just leave it running while you're gone for the day since it's too expensive, so I'd come back inside to an apartment that's the exact same temp and humidity as outside. Oh it was hard x.x I do NOT take home A/C for granted here in NC.
I am LOVING the contour and blush. I feel like those are products I sometimes struggle with, and these look so pretty! I also grabbed his rose gold lip gloss and itâs a staple in my daily routine.
I should clarify; the cream contour and blush just blend so well. I do wish the brush had a telescopic element to protect it, but thatâs my only critique.
I was waiting for this! Thank you!
Hii Robert!!đđ My sunday is incomplete without your evil chuckles!! Love it!! đđâ€â€
I live near Boston MA, it is getting hot here too! No shame in the AC game!
I love the look of that highlighter, absolutely radiant!
It's all so gorgeous! You're gorgeous without make up, Robert... this is just enhancement without looking cakey and thick and fake.
This is why I actually prefer winter, can't stand the heat recently đ€đ€âïž
Same girl. Same. I'm melting over here đ«
Same here! People think I am weird, but I prefer sweater weather to sweat weather any day of the week!
I physically feel horrible in the summer! I just feel so exhausted sweaty and drained... Also I get some kind of heat eczema and rashes so my body physically says nođ Winter is the absolute best!!
@@nadiaarsenijevic8594 I literally get rashes from both the heat and my own sweat. I'm crying for snow right now đ€Ł
Hi Robert. Great video as always. Your video's always make my day happier!!đđđđ
I love watching you fall in love with products. Your laugh. đ„°
Simply gorgeous!!!
You making buy some of this beautiful stuff. I need my hands on this highlighter đđđ
I was binge watching your videos and just got the notification that you posted a new one. It made my day! âșïžđ„°
I've always been a more into powder blush and contour because I'm oily and have always found creams to be too heavy for my skin! Plus I'm a total novice at makeup so I try to stay on the "less is more idea" which I can achieve comfortably with powders but now I really want to try those creams thank you! đ
Sold on the highlighter!! Been looking for a highlighter just like this for so long. Finally!!
Love how excited you got about the highlighter. Also where I live in the US air-conditioning is not really a thing either and it has been over 100 degrees F here and I am melting.
These products all look lovely on the skin!â€ïž
I love the contour stick! Iâm very happy I got it. Great review!
OMG YES THANK YOUUU.
Iâve been trying to go softer with my makeup without having too little or also just getting carried away and having a heavy hand đđ
You look amazing đ» thank youuuuuđ
I love it when Robert giggles with happiness. It makes me giggle and smile and makes me happy. I walk by this brand whenever I am in Sephora. It just never captured my attention but I may give it a gander next time I am in.
That mauve powder blush is such a beautiful colour. đ
Gorgeous! Love the highlighter on you.
i love the way you still get really excited about new makeup and trying out new products :-)
The highlighter is one of the best Iâve tried. I also bought the cream blush and contour. Theyâre great too, but the highlighter is the star of the show IMO
I am 100% into creams! I just love the way creams sit on my skin. So healthy and fresh looking
I only got the contour stick but I really love this product. I don't just draw it onto the skin because I find it doesn't blend well that way. I use a more dense but flexible brush to kind of stipple it on the skin and it looks so natural. I like that it sets down pretty quickly (another reason not to draw it on!) and the wear time is great, even on a hot summer day. I wore it swimming and it didn't budge. This has replaced my westman atelier stick, which I never thought would happen. Mario did a great job on this and I'm tempted to try the blushes out.
I'm early so if you see this hii! love ur vids! You seem so professional yet fun to watch đđŒâ€
Thank you!! đ€đ€đ€
I really love all of Marioâs products his cream Sculpt stick is my absolute fav.. my new go to!
I đ€ the highlighter. Now I need it. Iâm obsessed w your background, btw! đ€đ€
Just found him two days ago and i am so obsessed with his videos already that i've been watching his all videos all day as we've lockdown here. I loved how he explains everything and i am so so grateful already that i find him in YT. Thanks Robert for saving me from doing makeup in hilarious ways. đ â€ïž
Hello Robert! Thank you for this amazing video (just like all your videos really!!). Iâm definitely a cream girl and I love the Danessa Myricks products, theyâre great, pigmented and long lasting. Having said that this Mario cream blush looks nice too. But even if I love creams, this highlighter is calling my name !!! đ
Dearest Robert, your videos always bring me joy! Love that highlighter! Love from California!!
Omg i have just stumbled across this gem. This video is brilliant AND hilarious. Your personality is AWESOME X

Good morning yesssssss!!!!!!!!! Make up by Mario
Is it .... I love it đ„°
Just bought a sculpt stick! So pumped to try this. Love the neutral tone
I just finished my break from studying when I got the notif.... I guess I'm extending my break! đ
đ€đ€đ€đ€
That highlighter looks soooo good!
I love when you get excited about a makeup product. Sells me every time đ Still my favorite makeup artist.
Iâm using the light contour stick as a base for my bronzer and use a light luminous bronzer over it and it stays put all day. Was very surprised as I was sure that a creme product didnât have a long lasting stay. Bought also the Pale Petal cream blush and I love it too, itâs pigmented but with a sheer finish that I find very natural.
I think I need that highlighter đ it looks beautiful on you!
Thank you! They are absolutely stunning!
Ohhhh I was looking at this on Sephora! Canât wait to see what you have to say đ already liked the video too âșïž
