Hello I just bought a f350 7.3 standard shift…Very excited about our purchase from the original family and stills wears the factory paint and parts. I am new to this form and look forward to learning more…… Thanks Jeff
You completely nailed it!! Truck has traditional classic look of the OBS,but still carries that work truck daily driver throw some tools in the back tow the fishing boat usable functional truck. I applaud you for keeping it a truck and not some pancake tired junk
Love the truck and the wheels are perfect. I have a ‘97 F350 standard cab long bed dark green. 12 valve Cummins swapped too. I have the factory alcoas and love the look. But they are a little narrow for 35’s. Plus the selection of 16” tires is not what it used to be! It’s nice to see a young guy with great taste. Awesome video.
Love this set up! I just got my dream truck this week. A 1997 OBS F250 4x4 Crew cab with the big block 460 gas motor in it. I hope I can find a similar setup to this. Its hard to find a retromod type wheel for these trucks.
I have the same but just as a f350 have you found and good tires? I'm wanting to keep the oem wheels but I can't seem to find and 35s that will fit on them.
The American Racing outlaw 2 wheels in 17x8 for cummins 8 lug WITH +18mm or 5" backspacing also look great at the chinese wheel price of $180. Nice flat face with a little stick out in the front.
My Centurion 350 runs 17x9 -12 with 35x12.5 and they only rub at full lock when the truck isn't level. So normal parking lot driving they are good to go no issue.
Tell me about it! Got the same spec wheel with 37s on my leveled Ex and the rub on the leaf springs is getting old. Going to do 05+ axels with carli 4.5 components/ possibly 38 or 40s. OBS guys do that axel swap too, tightens turning radius a ton If you also swap the steering gearbox but you would have to go to 8x170 wheels unfortunately.
CenCoast_7.3 I go wheeling just about every weekend so it makes sense for me. I personally like the biggest tire possible on the most minimal amount of lift, since it doesn’t matter if you have a 12 inch lift if it’s getting hung up on the differentials haha. I’ll be regearing to 4.30s to keep it close to factory shift points/power/minimal amount of strain on the drive train. Plus like Andrew was getting at, big meaty tires on small wheels will always be cool!
Love what you did here. Looks amazing!! Also glad you did the 2" spacers on rear cause i see so many OBS fords with that weird look when they put wide wheels on. Makes the truck look right!!
Very cool man, looks great! I'm right there with you about the big wheel look, I prefer some side wall for sure. I like how you had these custom polished. By the Thumbnail, I actually thought these could be Weld Sidewinders by the polish!
I had a set of polished wheels. I really liked the look of them until I had to polish them, which I had to do regularly to keep them looking good. And, mine were smooth. Your new wheels look really good. I think they were a good choice. However, all of that great looking detail will prove to be a booger to polish. I bought an '04 Corvette many years ago. It had gorgeous polished wheels on it. This was years after my first set of polished wheels. The polished wheels on my Corvette, however, were powder clear coated. No muss, no fuss. Were always beautiful and all I did was wax them a couple of times a year. In my opinion, I think you ought to consider having them powder clear coated now while they're new.
Ah I’m way ahead of you! The wheels are gloss clear powder coated for zero maintenance aside from the ceramic coating that’s on them! I’m not about to be polishing wheels haha
Totally agree with the look of these current super wide wheels and tires. There's a lot of down-sides to running super-wide tires beside the looks. -Diminished load capacity, increased stress on the axles, hubs, bearings, increased road noise, decreased mileage, decreased traction on snow and ice, drain on power. That's a lot of down-sides.
truck looks amazing. i love the old fords., only thing i'd do different is the chrome, i love white with black wheels and black bumpers, accents but still this is like a 9.5 for me.
I think tires that are more flat and squared off make the truck its stance look so much better and tougher looking then a tire that's more tapered Plus those tires or even better fun going on the beach because it just gives you mortar on top of the sand with but really nice looking rim and tire combo
Love this truck. Looks perfect. I would love to get a early diesel but am leaning to gas just because of the maintenance. Love your video - really good camera and production work. 1st Class.
The maintenance on a Diesel is different. On my 7.3 I have very little maintenance. I change the oil/filters @ 5k, Lucas fuel additive and a sensor here and there (easy to replace usually). Really not bad. My gas trucks take far more “Engine” maintenance.
I wonder what those look like on a newer lariat. That polished look with the black ring no doubt will tie in all the chrome accents on the newer trucks
your truck looks great. And i'm like you i don't like the wheels sticking out the throwing mud and rocks down the sides. i had the folks at CJC do a Carli lift on a 2014 f350 and they were the nices people to deal with great folks. your truck look good. good job
I know im late to the party here with the comments but if you know the ford axle specs the rear yes is shorter but it's just a hair under an inch 0.978 of an inch so on my obs build i went with 1inch spacers on the rear & that matched up the poke with the front perfectly ..im just curious if you notice when looking down your truck do the rear tires poke out just a bit more than the front because of the 2inch spacers you put on ?
I have the same exact truck just got it ...I like the rims you had on before better but these ones are nice too I like less chrome I live on a backroad 🤣😂
Man those look killer. Mix a Weld with a headlock ring and you get those...love it. I'm looking for some wheels for my 97 if you know anyone that has any (Welds, Method, Alcoa's etc.). Going to put on a Sky RSK on my CCLB4X4 up in SLO in the next week or two that's been sitting in the garage. 🤙🏻
I'm a chevy guy but if I had to own a Ford it would be only this exact set up but get rid of the mommas boy mall crawler spacer in the rear cause here's why. I don't care what offroad mall crawler kink shop says the spacer is safe or a OK option. Two it's gonna mess up the chassie design on how this truck Tracks at full payload and or full tow capacity. I've had many one tone configs and anytime I did the alter from original r & d I either had a death wobble, a crackle think tink noise under load what ends up being chat or slop from worn spacers mis clocking the alignment of my rear end with Eton posi or g80's. A true pulling rig need super stiff hard compound skinnys with stock tracking to safely control you're 16-18,000lb load with quad sensor plus inertia saftey electronic brakes on trailers. Sway control on the actual toy hauler may be better or worse I can't honestly say because I'm fihgting passed my away from 67-76mph to always hit my goal of towing at 78mph lol so obviously that's a built one ton pulling only 8,000lbs but that's still a deadly combo so AL cobtrol a must. Looks epic though dude but at least back down to 1.25" spacers u will be stoked and bit safer
These are 17x8.5 Trail Ready wheels with 5” backspace and 35/12.5/17 tires. They do rub the leaf springs at full steering lock, but it’s no big deal! Other than that it’s at stock height for an F-350 with a slight forward spacing and trim on the front bumper.

I couldn’t agree with you more about the forces. Never been a fan of that style. Love your truck. Great video 👍🏼
Yeah no disrespect, but it just isn’t my style!
I appreciate the time into the video production, your editing skills are at another level Andrew, Respect!
Thank you!
Ive had several of these fords . those wheels are killer. Best looking fords ever .
Bro your style is sooo good! Great taste in trucks! Its so hard to find a well done OBS and yours is my new favorite! 🤤😍
You completely nailed it!! Truck has traditional classic look of the OBS,but still carries that work truck daily driver throw some tools in the back tow the fishing boat usable functional truck. I applaud you for keeping it a truck and not some pancake tired junk
That’s the goal! Love how this truck looks.
Bad ass wheel set up 👍 “traditional and edgy love it!!
That look will never get old! 🔥
These wheels are perfect. I'll be getting a set for my OBS for sure. Great choice.
That's truly a dream vehicle, not even just a dream truck. Absolutely perfect.

Impressive and I’m not even an obs guy. Keep up the work
Me personally I like stock. But you knocked it out of the park. I like the setup.
Thank you! If this truck had the factory Alcoas I’d probably keep them, but it had steelies and sunflower caps so they had to go!
The American Racing outlaw 2 wheels in 17x8 for cummins 8 lug WITH +18mm or 5" backspacing also look great at the chinese wheel price of $180. Nice flat face with a little stick out in the front.

@@aguyonmatchcom Curious as to why 38's or 40's, why such a big tire?

Waldeezy Good amount of sidewall is great for sure. 40’s are huge though! If you’re wheelin that hard then damn, that’s badass.
Such a simple understated set up.... well done.
I like to keep it simple and clean!
I'm not a Ford man, but I would be a happy owner of that truck. You've done such a great job with it!
You did it absolutely perfect I wouldn’t change a thing on this truck
Hey, I just recently found your channel-and subscribed. Love the content. I plan to binge watch all you've got.
Love what you did here. Looks amazing!! Also glad you did the 2" spacers on rear cause i see so many OBS fords with that weird look when they put wide wheels on. Makes the truck look right!!
Yeah I’d normally pass on spacers, but for these trucks they’re kinda mandatory!
Just Diesels what brand wheel spacers are they and where can I find them at? I really want to do that to my truck.
@@tobycutter122 obs solutions has good spacers

My next truck (a second gen 12v) is going to have this set up. I'm in love with those wheels. Im going crazy over that wheel and tire set up
You can buy bolt on wheel spacers from ebay that are machined
Best leveling kit is to haul pavers or heavy materials. Looks weird to have a leveling kit and then add cargo in the bed. Keep up the good work.
I had a set of polished wheels. I really liked the look of them until I had to polish them, which I had to do regularly to keep them looking good. And, mine were smooth.

truck looks amazing. i love the old fords., only thing i'd do different is the chrome, i love white with black wheels and black bumpers, accents but still this is like a 9.5 for me.

The new wheels looks amazing man!! The OBS looks so good! Love those wheels, I would have done exactly what you did or a set of Innov8s.
I was VERY tempted on Innov8s, but I feel like the rounded, blocky shape of the TRs just fits really well with the body lines of the OBS!
Just came across your channel, love the wheels. But I agree, I'm not into the huge wheels either, I like my trucks to remain functional.

What wheel spacers are those?
Beautiful
When you were driving I spotted a RTT but when you showed the truck I didn't? Different truck?
Different filming date! The RTT is a new addition.
Nice! Sounds like you're building a overlander.
I am restoring the same truck. Love the wheels you chose. Did you have any rub? What modifications are required?
These are 17x8.5 Trail Ready wheels with 5” backspace and 35/12.5/17 tires. They do rub the leaf springs at full steering lock, but it’s no big deal! Other than that it’s at stock height for an F-350 with a slight forward spacing and trim on the front bumper.
Looks good
Old trucks with fat tires are such a great combination.
YES!
Did you shave down your front bumper to be able to fit the 35s?
Already looks perfect but a 2 inch sky’s rsk upfront would be even better.
I can’t decide between a reverse level and leveling the front. I’m leaning towards a reverse level though.
Just Diesels if it was 1/2 or 3/4 ton I’d say for sure but the good ol 1 Ton would look a lot better leveled upfront imo.
I thought you would have got the Alcoas. those look nice though
Great looking truck dig the new wheels do you still have the method wheels and are they for sale.
please do a leveling kit it would top it off
Amazing!!!!
But dope truck dude!
Looks hella good. You should reverse level it thoo. That would set it off
That’s the plan!
Yeah it would look 🔥...totally lit!
is there a lift kit on there ? is so how high? thanks
Nope! Factory height F-350
@@JustDiesels its awesome that it clears 35s at factory height
I wish I could afford a diesel.
What do you mean the tire hits the leaf spring when in full lock? Are you saying you can’t properly activate 4x4 with this setup?
The tire rubs the leaf spring in the front at full steering lock. 4wd still operates just fine!
I would simple put 10 inch rim 35s on there make look good and keep those garbage 14 or 16 wides off
good lookin wheels my friend. i aint easily impressed with most wheels anyway
