What’s the Scary Movie about?
Starring Anna Faris, Marlon Wayans and Shannon Elizabeth, Scary Movie is a send-up of today's most popular horror movies. Watch a familiar-looking group of teenagers finding themselves being stalked by a more-than-vaguely recognizable masked killer. As the victims begin to pile up and the laughs pile on, none of your favorite scary movies escape the razor-sharp satire of this outrageously funny parody. Everything begins when one night, 18-year-old Drew Decker (Carmen Electra) receives a threatening phone call while home alone. She is then chased outside by somebody dressed as Ghostface, who ends up stabbing her and slitting her throat. The obvious door was closed, he has a knife, what do you do? Stand there? or try the doggy exit? Context man, just be aware. I know you're an adult and have no excuses. Be smarter.
The door to the garage was locked and it was the only way out. Side note, the actress could actually fit through the door but they made her struggle to make it look like she couldn't
She could have backed out as it was opening then slid under. They purposely make people stupid in slashers
@@ELFanatic I know that 90% of people with garages in America have workshop tools stored in them which could of been used for self defense. I saw over a dozen different things in there that could be used to attack with. If not she could break the edge of a bottle or disarm the killer while he's down. All of those would be more intelligent options than risk being vulnerable/idle to an active threat while she's clearly not afraid of attacking back anyway. She's also not alone in the house and could of cried for help. Besides that, after she realized the door was closed, she could of just pressed the garage door button.

I love how the killer was kind of "uh...yeh...okay" when his victim starts to take the lead, then flinches when she breaks her own leg.

It's interesting how the original was just one scene, but scary movie splits what happened into two separate scenes.
The original scene is so iconic it had to be spoofed twice.

Fun fact: Scream was originally supposed to be called "Scary Movie" which would've fit more with Ghostface's "What's your favorite scary movie?" line. However the studio felt it sounded like a comedy, so it was changed to what we know. But the studio had the advantage to use the unused title for it's own comedy parodying Scream instead.

In the original she actually handled the killer pretty well but why didn't try open the door ? Even if the door was locked she could open the garage door like the killer did and go through then ,it's better than going through that hole . I mean I know that in panic people doesn't think much ,but she was actually doing the thinking part with fridge or bottles ,crouching.

I watched Scary Movie first before I watched Scream. So I couldn't take the Scream franchise seriously
I think the whole point of scream was to kind of poke fun at slasher movie cliches. Even the characters are constantly referring to the way scary movies unfold and what to do and not to do.

Strange, too, was how there was more blood and gore in Scary Movie 2, than here in this clip from Scream. In this Scream clip, the killer slices his victim's arm one time. In Scary Movie 2, the killer not only stabs his female victim, but cuts her head off, too...only for her to not know when to shut up!

Scary movie was a pretty shit film
I saw it in the theater back in the day. I must have missed a quarter of the movie because the big gags got the crowd laughing so hard that we wouldn't be able to pay attention to the next few minutes and you definitely couldn't hear the audio till the laughter died down. Like that "laugh till you hurt and your eyes are blurry" kind of laughing.
The garage parody scene is just for laughs and is not as smrt as the locker room scene.

Fun Fact: Wes actually didn't know how to kill the character in the garage and he wanted her death to be creative so the actress herself reccomended death by the cat door because she was small enough to fit lol.
