- Hello everybody! The Great Race is the next movie in my 75th Anniversary Review-a-Thon, and my review of it is finally here for you all! This movie was definitely an interesting movie to say the least, as there were some scenes here and there that felt forced for the sake of toy sales. The TSMU fan Fun fact this movie was the last to include the full spanish dub voice cast from hero of the rails and a new voice for thomas was casted in Journey beyond sodor same thing with henry etc but james and gordon annie and clarabell,s voices were intact
8:57 the reason why the Flying Scotsman didn't have a larger role in a episode tender engines is because the model crew run out of money to make the gauge 1 model.
they blew it just for the stupid Three Way Road bridge
This may seem controversial, but I think that DIESEL would've made a better protagonist! Thomas should've been a shoe-in for the railway show, and Diesel should've been dismissed by everyone. This way, it would've made his attempt to get in and Thomas's accident more important.

the Flying Scotsman is in the railway series.
I love it!
Not only is it my 2nd favourite Thomas movie, but it is my Number One CGI Thomas movie!
It, along with TATMR, is overhated and underrated!
All the songs in it are so amazing!
The scenes with Flying Scotsman and Gordon are very amusing!
Ashima is an interesting character, definitely one of my favourite CGI characters!
Plus, this film kinda feels a series finale film (As ALMOST every character appears).
Not to mention, the Fat Controller was handled WAY better here (Unlike SLOTLT).
Also, Diesel trying to be stronger than Henry was a nice callback to the Season 6 episode The World's Strongest Engine.
Mind you, it would have been cool if Rosie had a supporting role in the film.
This film is a really underrated musical and needs more love and credit!
I agree with Cosmic that this film is very overlooked and underrated.

Actually Oliver Davis wrote and composed the songs, Chris Renshaw only composed the speaking parts of the film.
