Very clever indeed but I doubt that Kubrick, even with all the imagery and subconscious suggestions he put in The Shining, put this connection in. He may have not even thought about it. If anything, he put other more inconspicuous things into this trailer (and scene) than would take a LOT more thought and "unburying" as it were, to uncover. That was Stanley... :)
People really tend to watch the hell out of this movie and then come up with some random symbolism. I know much of it is true but this just seems too forced.
