  • 'Remove Object In Photopea' is the subject of today's tutorial. In this video i’m going to show you an advanced technique for removing very tricky objects in Photopea. Whilst I class this as advanced, as long as you follow step by step everything should make sense, and you should have no trouble applying this to any of your own images. It uses a combination of the clone tool, patch tool and content aware fill tool to get a great result.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    I also use:
    Topaz Gigapixel - amazing software for upscaling to much higher resolutions without sacrificing quality. It's a perfect partner to Photopea in my opinion. Check it out here:

    It's certainly a great tutorial by combining all 3 methods in 1 video. Thanks a lot. However, I'm having an issue with using Photopea as it seems to be slow and not very responsive. Not sure why is it acting up the way it did.

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you - i'm glad you enjoyed it! Photopea is inherently slow in many of its functions unfortunately, especially compared to other software like Photoshop. I think a lot of this is because of the limits of running most functions via the internet, rather than being completely installed. And I have the feeling the software just isn't that well optimised. However, there are definitely some things you can do to help with the performance - i've done a video on this already, but I will shortly be putting out a new updated version with a couple more things to do in order to keep things as lag free as possible 🙂

    I have a quick question, is there a way to shrink or decrease the distance between the cursor and the crosshair when using the clone tool?
    I wanted to clone something on my image but it was closer than what the tool wanted to clone-

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you so much for your comment - it's is really appreciated, and i'm glad you liked the video!
      The distance between the clone source (crosshair) and the main cursor is dictated by you, in the sense of where you first choose to Alt+Click to set the source, and then start the actual cloning. If you zoom in enough, you can clone super close to where you picked your source from. Apologies if i've mis-interpreted your question - let me know if you can't figure it out as I plan on doing a separate video on cloning, healing techniques soon :)

    That is NEAT!!!...Extremely Helpful...Can u make a video on erasing out titles from a movie poster?
    Photoshop works better(than Photopea) for that ,maybe bcos of the Color Adaptation option.
    If u do have some xtra tips(similar to this one),than do share.

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  Před 2 lety +1

      Glad you liked it! The movie title idea is a bit too specific for a video on its own, but I can probably incorporate it into a broader video on how to remove various objects from different scenarios. I agree- Photoshop does seem to have the edge when it comes to content aware fill performance, but just means we gotta get a little bit more creative with our solutions in Photopea :)

    • @drdmediaproduction330
      @drdmediaproduction330 Před 2 lety

      @@photopeapro Hi, sorry I didn't explain it very well. What I am after is to remove the foreground (say the woman), but not replacing with a background. Just leaving a silhouette.
      Hope this makes more sense.
      Thanks
      Richard

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  Před 2 lety

      @@drdmediaproduction330 I understand. In that case, it would be a different technique - you would have to create an accurate selection of the woman, (as if you wanted to cut her out) but then fill the selected area with black for example.

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  Před 3 lety +2

      I hear you... it can definitely be quite glitchy and some tools aren't integrated as well as they should be. These shortcomings definitely need to balanced against the fact that at its core it is free software though. Although having said that, there are a few ways to make things work a bit better. I will be making an updated video soon on how to optimise Photopea as much as possible to get the best out of it.
