i recommend to ask more about shifts (they will subconsciously think you are already hired😅) - ask about overnights on weekends for example or flexibility like several hours a day if you have to study - it shows you are ready to work hard if they need stuff dont ask about free meals/discounts - my interviewer didnt like this question 🤨 (but you gonna have free lunch + national employee discount 30% if you wanted to know) you not gonna have time to ask lots of questions. managers, who will interview you, won’t have much time - they are alwaaaays busy

If you cant handle adversity you're never going to make it in any workplace because adverse situations occur on both sides of the counter. You can be smart as Einstein when it comes to Hard Skills but if you cant smile when the metaphorical bullets start flying get a job working from home alone. Learn Soft Skills first and foremost then anyone will teach you the Hard Skills. Being polite and being able to eat sht and smile outweighs everything because Soft Skills are what you build on. Not the other way around.

honestly i would choose cafe/restaurant with tips .. like starbucks because in mcdonald’s you can only have your salary and that’s it . if you wanna have some side money you should look for tips

"...its just too much stress and little money and no benefits." Realistically speaking, it'll be the same thing at McDonald's. "...would i have to start right at the bottom cleaning?" Cleaning isn't the bottom of the totem pole at McDonald's, since every position (including management) is required to do so. You'd likely be starting as a crew member (most stores don't hire managers externally) which IS the bottom of the totem pole. However, it is pretty easy to climb the ladder. "...but working at the back making the burgers and putting them together is what id like best, could i do this?" It is possible but it's also possible that you will have to start on counter and wait to be cross-trained in the grill area. You will never start in Drive-Thru without first learning counter.

I’m not the OP, but usually you’ll have your interview, then if you’re accepted they’ll let you know after a few days. After that, you will have your orientation and a few weeks of training (all paid work). Then they’ll expect you to work normally
hello! i am from Ukraine so my English is not perfect as if i were native speaker BUT only 50% of my co-workers knows English - most of them speak Spanish better and it isn’t a problem you don’t usually speak that much , only regular phrases such as “using mcdonald’s app? what would you like to order?” and clarifying client’s needs after week of working you will hate these words ahahah - there’s gonna be nothing new so nobody could guess that your english is bad! + you will always be heard by another crew members so they gonna listen and help if something is wrong don’t forget that there are lots of accents and even native speakers sometimes don’t understand English everything will be good!!!

I submitted my application and did the online interview with the Ai Olivia that asked what hours I can work, how old I am etc.. and there were the interview questions that asked like why do you want to work at McDonald’s’s, who would recommend u for this job etc… they haven’t gotten back to me yet it’s been almost two weeks. The ai said they would let me know within 3 days.. I called them bc I was getting anxious and asked if they looked over my application and she said she’s going over them on Sunday. The best way to get the job is to actually go there and tell them that you would like the job. If you have any uniforms from a fast food restaurant, then wear it while you go there. If they like you, then they may give you a paper application. Don’t look desperate for the job. Go there with a friendly smile.

I believe yes! Congrats :))) Maybe they will need some time to order you uniform, but they will ask you to wear plain black jeans for the first few days I believe
Tell McDonalds your availability and they'll tailor the schedule to suit your needs. If you want 40hrs a week you'll get it. If you want 20 you'll get it. Know what you want before you go and simply ask for it.

Im surrounded by lazies who call out once a week, dont work even when they are here, and they still get 30hrs, but they'll never get 40, like i do, because they cant even maintain for 30.

Nobody wants to train these days even for a simple job like serving food at mcdonalds. I'm training myself on web development. No one will give me a chance cooking burgers without experience. I live on the streets while dedicating 10 hours per day studying.
They need to train you in mcdonalds because people usually are 16 yo when they start working there it’s simple fast food where you don’t need to have any special knowledge like in field of web development

It depends on part time or full time. Full time is monthly pay while part time is hourly.

I submitted my application and did the online interview with the Ai Olivia that asked what hours I can work, how old I am etc.. and there were the interview questions that asked like why do you want to work at McDonald’s’s, who would recommend u for this job etc… they haven’t gotten back to me yet it’s been almost two weeks. The ai said they would let me know within 3 days.. I called them bc I was getting anxious and asked if they looked over my application and she said she’s going over them on Sunday. It’s been a week since then. I’m getting anxious pls helppp 😭

The best way to get the job is to actually go there and tell them that you would like the job. If you have any uniforms from a fast food restaurant, then wear it while you go there. If they like you, then they may give you a paper application. Don’t look desperate for the job. Go there with a friendly smile.

Tell McDonalds your availability and they'll tailor the schedule to suit your needs. If you want 40hrs a week you'll get it. If you want 20 you'll get it. Know what you want before you go and simply ask for it.

@@Kurathis552 its 100% true for hard workers like me. The only people not getting 40 are the lazies, unmotivated that arent worth it. Im surrounded by lazies who call out once a week, dont work even when they are here, and they still get 30hrs, but they'll never get 40, like i do, because they cant even maintain for 30.
@@Kurathis552 I come from a comission only biz. I got paid nothing if i didnt sell something (produce). I was driven, self-motivated, self-starter, and i still am. I started with 30 hours at McD's, proved my value, now i get 40, and the next stop for me is mgmt. Because i believe in Continual SELF-Improvement. Not continual whining.

Nobody wants to train these days even for a simple job like serving food at mcdonalds. I'm training myself on web development. No one will give me a chance cooking burgers without experience. I live on the streets while dedicating 10 hours per day studying.
They need to train you in mcdonalds because people usually are 16 yo when they start working there
