    This scene was powerful... it even got me to reflect on my own life while I was watching this Dr start talking about Ambivalence.

      Whoever wrote this is a genius, Taishi Singleton.

    Vanessa Redgrave quoting T.S. Eliot, quoting Seneca... it sends chills down my spine! What a fantastic movie, with an incredible cast.

    Only Vanessa Redgrave could have played this part! One of the most magnificent actors alive!!!

    By far THE most important scene in the movie. I am the "Suzanna" character. The actress that played the Dr. was awesome. The latin she spoke, the meaning of it, the implications it gives about the world and its people. It sent "chills" down my spine; really touched me spiritually and had me asking myself deep questions that everyone should ask themselves while they still have the breath in their body. This movie is highly underrated but kudos to the people it touched you are me and I am u :)

      If it takes a movie to make you question your spirituality then you need help.

    I wonder how the conversation would've went if Suzanna would have said she's apathetic about it instead of ambivalent

    I agree with some of the rantings of SR Knight below, but i also think Vanessa Redgrave is talented and one of the only actresses who could have pulled this off in such a convincing fashion. Psychiatry is a psuedo science, nothing more, but they do the best they can with what they do know, and if you merely critique and complain without any worthwhile suggestions toward progress, you are indeed part of the problem...

    You know, as I was sitting here it suddenly occurred to me that someone needs to to address the Troll thing. Trolls are hideous negative creatures. Usually they are unemployed, and irresponsible. Employed people do not have the time to sit and pick fights with people they don't even know. Why would I care if some Aussie is on my side or not? I don't live in Aussie land. Most people have children to take care of, parents to take care of, pets to take care of, a home to clean, a car to maintenance, or a job to go to, therefore they don't engage in unproductive activities, and meaningless chatter. A person with good self esteem does not require the approval of anyone else on Earth. Some people delude themselves into thinking that "Knowledge is power". Knowledge is freedom from care. Who wants to be known as the leader of rabble? I am not a court house, jail house, whore house, or a church, and not just anyone is welcome.

    • @truculentbelly
      @truculentbelly Před 7 lety

      lol get over yrself. you came in pompous and ignorant and still refuse to admit you were wrong. you weren't "trolled". you just had to deal with actual facts that disproved yr ramblings. i'm not for or against you; i just disagreed with yr assertion of facts. just calm down.

      S.R. Knight the lengths pompous gits (like you, just in case you're too stupid to get the point) go to to try to force a nonsensical, ignorant point is hilarious! you're wrong, you know you're wrong, and it's not a big deal- like, who cares, really? except you fronted like you were smarter than everyone, acted like you knew more than everyone, so now i just have to insist in proving that you're a big dummy, that you don't actually know what you're talking about. you're talking out yr arse, idiot.

    • @s.r.knight847
      @s.r.knight847 Před 7 lety

      brioesque Probably I am not smarter than everyone. I'm just smarter than you, and I am not sinister/wrong......I'm about as right as you can get.
