The reason "Pathological Performances" was never reissued officially for so long was that Anders and Rickard said "no" to every offer that came their way over a 20+ year period. I think it was a combination of them not liking the material and feeling like a lot of the offers were more about making money than about the music. When I reached out to Anders last year to ask if I could reissue it on cassette, he actually replied, telling me that after many extravagant offers over the years, I was the first that he was actually interested in. Apparently because he could tell I was a "true fan" and because I was offering to put it out on a limited cassette. He liked the more underground approach. Since I reissued it on cassette last year, Anders and Rickard have warmed up to allowing more labels to do official reissues. Selfmadegod and some other labels just officially reissued it on CD this past month. That being said, last I chatted with Anders he was still looking for someone to do a legit LP reissue. That'd be sick if HHR did it. More than happy to pass on his contact info if you'd like?
Best shit Brodequin ever put out was Prelude To Execution. Man, they really nailed the sound that time. If they could have released a fullength that sounded like that it would have been legendary.
Festival of Death is my favorite Brodequin album, it’s just so over the top brutal. J-Dawg, what do you think of their new 2 song promo that came out a few months ago? Definitely the cleanest production they’ve had, I think it’s great stuff
Those albums from Gorgasm and Brodequin will be definitely without doubt next killer reissues from HH. Oh man I can’t wait to get my hands on vinyl version of Instruments of Torture and Festival of Death. Fingers crossed.
I like the idea of you showing some of the stuff you picked up that isn’t from HHR. It would also be cool if you did a highlights video from the HHR catalog, some of the stuff you got, not all of it. I got that Gorgasm EP on cd, what an absolute classic. You got any jungle rot stuff? Or any of the other Wisconsin death metal bands?
Trust me you probably got Leski's (Gorgasm) email that he never checks, lol. I was in the band for 10 years and handled all the correspondence. I believe Sasha now handles all of that now and they use their FB page to contact people.
and I agree early 2000 vinyl releases with some underground bands of the time we’re really Fukn half asses. So frustrating because you know you have to own it but when it arrives your like, “ Fukn for real, is this the effort you go and put in for such a mandatory release. “. 🤷♂️🤦♂️.
