My dad’s been a big fan of hers since the 90s and never saw her. We were supposed to see her open for garbage and Alanis a few years ago but were bummed when she had to drop out of the tour. My friend and I went with him to this exact show and I’m still thinking about it over a week later. Liz and her band were so damn good. I’ll definitely be seeing her again.
Thanks for posting this. Was working in Chicago when Guyville came out. Listening to XRT. Wish I'd called out sick and gone to show. And thanks, Ms. Phair.
Traveled from Pittsburgh to Cleveland last night to see the show. This album has been my favorite since the first time I heard it 30 years ago. Needless to say, this was at the very top of my bucket list.

You can always count on Philly fans to show up and show out (for better or worse lol). Glad to see this tour get the crowd appreciation it deserves. Liz Phair is a legend.
Can you explain (to a non-musician) how her rhythm guitar playing is unique? Just curious! Love this album and would like to understand better what makes it great
@@pennyblankshe's fairly unconventional and experimental when it comes to the chords she plays in her songs, particularly evident in the songs off her first two albums. Shatter and Strange Loop are big examples of that experimentality, especially the latter. Lots of weird chord fingerings and dissonance, and that's what makes her so unique and complex.

does he have a 38 year old guitar?
@@BrewnoeIsn’t the lyric “a 37 year a guitar”
She is impeccable. Just amazing Thank for posting this! Brings me back so many years ... and she sounds better now!
We were there. It was So good. We liked her opening act Blondshell too. Was the first time we heard them. Thanks for sharing this show. Great video.

There really is no artist quite like Liz. She is quite musically complex and her rhythm guitar playing is seriously unique. Great video.

@@deadbeatjack2307Cool, thanks for explaining that
She's feeling herself
Simply the sexiest and most beautiful female musician.
Explain it to me. Brilliant.
Legend.
Great recording! Saw her in Cleveland for the last night of tour. Any chance I could have a copy?
“They leave suspicious things in the sink” may be the most accurate description of having college boy roommates of all time
Man, thanks so much for this. It seems so tired and hackneyed to say now, but this is literally the album that made me a feminist.
8:32 What is the name of this song?
Dance of the seven veils
@@deadbeatjack2307 Obrigado! Não conhecia essa artista. Ela canta muito bem.

Is it just me or does she not have a good voice live?
