Reminds me of times I used to play the game with my uncle, who has passed away in a traffic accident. He loved this game and Fast and Furious series as well, back then only first and second film were released. Now I installed the game again and playing it for his memory and for everything he made me earn.

why??? its customization is dated all to hell.. they need to make a successor to this game.. with nfs 2015 it was a spiritual successor to carbon, now we need underground.. successor...
+Agerix Official You can't make a successor to the Undergrounds, the scene that inspired them is dead. There hasn't been a new Z-car since 2008, the Lancer Evo is gone, the Skyline replaced by a supercar, Mazda's got no sports car, Honda's got no sports car, Toyota's 86 won't see a successor... the only way to make a game in the vein of the Undergrounds is to set it during the heyday of the import tuner scene, and if you're going to do that anyway you may as well remaster this game.
Matt William are you stupid? the current z model is the 370z and yes there is a 2017 model. honda has the 2017 nsx and the 2017civic type r. the Toyota AE86 has a successor its called the Toyota GT86 which is a great car and is a future JDM classic it has everything the AE86 was. light weight, responsive, good sounding. it even adds something the AE86 was kind of lacking which is looks.
and the evo is gone. so what. i dont see what that has to do with underground street racing its just another brand death like the dodge viper. its like me saying that subaru should stop making the wrx because mitsubishi quit making the evo, thats not how things work. its also like saying porsche should quit lemans because Audi quit lemans

Calling the Evo "just another brand death", what the hell does that mean? The brand is Mitsubishi, which is NOT dead. The model is Lancer, which is NOT dead. The Evo IS dead because the demand is gone, because the tuner scene is drying up.
The Miata is a fine car but it's no RX-7. The GT-R is essentially a Japanese Corvette, no upgrades required. And last but certainly most damning, EVERY CAR we've mentioned in this thread is priced out of the market for most young people who would form the core audience of the old tuner scene, and it's only gonna get worse from here on in.

When I look at the cover (in this picture) I saw lights in buildings. I was there, at the top level at balcony and watched illegal races while listened this track at handsfree. Cars...looked like toys. Sky was cloudy. Breeze makes me to dream. While I am only 13 as of right now, still get nostalgia from this. Played since 5, didn't know what to do for a couple of months, but then just came to me. My dad introduced me to this game because he played it a lot back then, and got my uncle to install it again for us. The only game I've played for about 4 years, yet never got bored of. My favourite racing game of all time.

Man so much memories as a kid. This song was my favorite out of all of them. I really miss playing this game. I wish they could make it for the PS3 PS4 and PS5 but have the same graphics in the game. But one thing I will say I’m glad this game was part of my childhood and was my very first video game for the PS2. Cruising around Bayview with my red Honda Civic when this song would play.
