Fantastic Ryan, thnx for doing this. learning so much, even tho you think so fast. great to get inside the mind of a GM. really wish you'd play on 'Casual' b/c your narrating and tutoring us whilst you play. only fair to you. the opponent would understand.
Thank for the insights, great job! I would've found the 31 hit, because as a beginner player hitting is "always right", so I avoid the fancy not hitting plays that can be huge blunders.
Nice, I learned something from this video! That it's better not to double your opponent out after they save the gammon because it credits them with a decision so you don't want to do that in PR backgammon. Neat little trick I'll be sure to remember, thanks!
Additionally, you can give yourself extra PR decisions by 'staying back' when gammons or single wins are inevitable. Another PR trick is for the trailer to delay cubing in post-Crawford games. But caution is advised when applying these tricks because you might end up blundering
@@foggymind1906 Yeah I don't really do the odd-away post-Crawford trick because you tend to lose a few millipoints every turn you don't cube and your opponent just takes it anyways.
Many interesting decisions. I'd like to see more time spent on the errors both sides make, usually they are the same ones we the viewers would make too.
The computer play with the 6-4 in game 1 is a berserk move. Leaves 24 return shots from the bar… This position (and the 3-1) would be great material for a position-of-the-day-video on ZZ’s channel!
Are the clocks timed the same as these when you play an 'in person' event? Do you know the pip counts very accurately in those events? (and have extra time to count them?) My game has improved lots because the pip counts are there for me to see at all times on-line. The game became more enjoyable by an order of magnitude (as that fraudster Elon likes to say).

but doesn't the doubler get an extra decision too??

Helpful video to improve, good commentary. Thank you Ryan.
Awesome video Ryan! Hope you play Simon Barget next! Love to see the dual commentary there!

yeah it would. I'd love to see him break them down
Yeah it's a crazy play. One that I never would've found and one that I'm not about to find now.

who the hell is finding the 6,2/4,2 the last mistake, seriously?
