10:39 The only thing you are missing is the many dice rolls Grog made, He was fighting Groon alone in a pit and everyone else was watching the first time and the second time he invited some of his friends to fight alongside him. Since that did not mirror the animation well enough I used this clip which was from an aftershow chat, where Ashley was asking about the Groon fight.

In the C1 stream, VM traveled to Vasselheim before the Briarwoods arc. It was during this time that they ran afoul of the Slayer's Take by killing a beast that a different group within the Take had a contract for. Instead of being arrested, they agreed to do some "Trial of the Take" contracts so that they could be Slayer's Take members & then their earlier kill could be rectified. That's when they met Kashaw and Zahra. Grog also fought a guy named Kern in the fighting pits in Vasselheim. He lost the first time but then a few episodes later he did a rematch & won. After winning, he noticed this imposing figure watching the fight who smiled and nodded after the fight. It turned out to be Groon. The whole party accompanied Grog to visit him. Their interaction was quite brief.
After the Chroma Conclave (CC) attacked Emon, VM went back to Vasselheim. They gathered Zahra & Kash and then went to see Earthbreaker Groon. He had some information on vestiges but wouldn't give up that info with a cost. Grog was to choose two allies and fight in the pit with him against Groon. This was the fight where Groon kept asking "where do you find your strength." At the end of this fight, Grog answered "my friends." So on the stream, Travis was able to give out the correct answer pretty soon. In the adaptation, they decided for the answer to come to Grog a little while later & during the Kevdak fight. The adaptation choice is pretty smart as it allows for that moment to tie into when Grog shouts out "Vox Machina, fuck shit up!"
Grog summarizing what Groon said to Pike was sort of Travis telling Ashley what she missed. That moment in the stream comes at the tail end of the CC arc.

it is also the case that the time grog fought the heartbreaker he was allowed two allies (Vax and Scanlan) to help him in the fight

You gotta remember the campaign spans like 500 hours. You mix and match and cut and move around and edit things down for a dozen 30ish minute episodes to make what's important fit in wherever you can make it fit in. A truly monumental task for the screenwriters.

in the show Grog and the gang were all in Vasselheim together yes they split up a bit, but Grog was only able to meet Groon after defeating a tough opponent in a challenge ring, after this the party went with grog to meet Groon, but only grog who had proven himself at the time was allowed to speak to Groon being the champion. in terms of the show (animated) they split grog up to both cover the point as it was more to grogs story of strength, but also cause I believe they wanted to show the different paths of the party.

@@johnlandon8741 yeah, there's a couple of different moments where in the show they split the party up but in the campaign they were actually all together... And it's mainly just because they had to truncate things... in the campaign, they had TIME to explore each individual storyline and they were all allowed to be there as a group but the show doesn't have the time to be able to do that and so they have to split the party and have things happening simultaneously.

1:09 Kash is a cleric! Similar to Paladin but more of a support class.

Bro said cleric is support class when the 80lbs of monster in a 3lb can of whoopass known as Pike Pickle. MF Champion of the Everlight Trickfoot isn't the GOAT. I'm not namekian, here, I'm just saiyan.

@@bradfordlindsey9781 I mean life clerics are considered more of a support class compared to like War clerics 🤷‍♀️ I'm not wrong... that's just how they are classified in the game! And both Pike and Kash are Life clerics. Obviously, clerics can still wreck shit like paladins do... but they are still a support class like Bards.
