All that cool lighting and he died from a simple rock landing on his head. I was gutted as a kid, like Boba Fetts death in Return Of the Jedi. Leaves you wanting more. Great movie and what a legend John Carpenter is. 👏

A neat thing that I caught in Lightning's death scene. When the Budha hits him, the lightning follows him down the hole. Before it disappears, it pokes through one more time. If you freeze the picture on this moment. You can see it spell out some characters in Mandarin. I asked a Chinese friends what it means, and he said that it meant "surprise!"

Still one of the Best movies with so many people. Really hope there would be a second one, but this is a stand alone movie, with great characters and great actors.

One fact that would make Lightning win this hands down is that he’s a elemental master and he has invulnerability.

@@Nate-Great-Fate Invulnerability only helps if he's dealing with small projectiles, when it comes to hazardous obstacles, the invulnerability can't save him. It's similar like in a Super Mario Bros. game, in SMB when you grab a Starman you're invulnerable for a short while and any enemies you touch or they touch you are instantly killed but if you're not careful and you fall down a pit or got crush by an object then you're dead. Lightning's death here follows the same rule.
@@VOAN Then that makes Lightning and Electro even. Lightning has Invulnerability, but not for large dangers. Electro can control all electricity, but he can overload and die.

As we never actually see his "death", and he took so long to approach and showed off while he was doing so like it was a wrestling match, I always wondered if he deliberately sandbagged to let them get away ("come on folks, hurry up and either escape or give me an excuse to take an L, I can only kayfabe this so much").
