    Be sure to let us know how the in slab temperature probe is working! I'm going to have to do this in my shop, as I forgot to put mine in before we poured the slab😔

      So far seems good! But it’s 62 out right now haha. But both the floor and air temp are showing 57 so I’ll have to lower it since we don’t need it that warm in the garage and it’ll save in the long run. Grinding a channel was easy and worked perfect FYI for a retro fit.

    Excellent decision! Slab sensor is great way to in a garage or room with tons of windows.

      Agree. Just need a cold day now since it’s 63 out!!!!! To see if it actually works haha.

    I thought I remembered you putting flooring down over the concrete in the garage???

      We did and I hated it. Going in the gym now and then under gym mats for extra protection. We’ll do epoxy one day.

    How about wiring to the zone controller?? I’m installing my prob now just not sure if I’m wiring it correctly. Thx

      @neckofthewoods24  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Ours is wired to a zone controller. In the basement we have a 3 zone Taco controller. Only use 2 right now but it’s just a simple 2 signal wire connection to run a zone.

      @@neckofthewoods24 Got it done first try. My slab sensor I drilled in so we will see on that. Thx for the reply and keep doing what you do brother.

    Would heat tape or roof ice dam wire (forget what it's called) work for removing ice build up? Maybe on a switch or automated. I'd just do a piece of gutter or sheet metal painted to run the water down to the gutters after that.

    • @neckofthewoods24
      @neckofthewoods24  Před rokem +1

      I did think of that. Would be harder to see more slippery for the water to stick. It’d still freeze on its way down being about 5-6’ to the gutter but a long skinny ice cube may be better than a huge ball. Also my shingles would be ok unless laying something on top traps mold or something.

  • @TheSteereFamilyAdventures

    Pipe stick out to gutter or passed gutter to ground just paint pipe black

      @neckofthewoods24  Před rokem

      Hmm. I’ll have to play with it. I know so many just run them out the roof with a Shepards hook down onto their roofs. Wonder how long the roof lasts before showing signs of damage.

    do you have radiant floor in the garage

      Of course. That’s the temp sensor install of this video.

    • @neckofthewoods24
      @neckofthewoods24  Před rokem

      @@cr7droneshow694 yes it’s been much better because opening the garage door doesn’t turn the heat on. The cold air coming in doesn’t affect it now really.

      @@cr7droneshow694 maybe. It comes with a 6’ probe but I’m sure it could go longer.
