    Just got into HVAC and I’m 1000% getting that pump!! And I only own the fieldpiece gauges the sm480. Lol I have so much to learn on how to use all this equipment and the video was so helpful!! I really appreciate you making them and keep up the great work bro and thank you!!

    Excellent Video RH. Thanks for putting the VP87 to work, looks like it's a solid and well thought out design. I have a set of Trublue hoses coming from TTT, I will be using these on a JB pump until I can get the VP87. Yep, I'm definitely a Fieldpiece guy, I have the SC-660 and 440 clamp meters, the whole blue tooth probe set, manometers, Sman 380 manifolds. When I started out, I carried a Fluke clamp meter and figured out really quick why so many of the techs carried Fieldpiece meters. Thier stuff is designed for the trade and it performs very well. I wish they would bring back a smaller sized SC440 clamp meter with a swivel head. I have the 440 in my attic/roof bag and I do miss the swivel feature sometimes. I like how you kept it real and showed off your "getting ahead of myself filter drier bit", that kind of stuff happens to us all. Take care and have a good one.

    Great point check and recheck compressor especially voltage and phase I have been given a three phase when I ordered a single phase so great point always check it before leaving supply house.

    Great video bud. Watched it while researching which new pump to buy. For sure going to be getting the 10 cfm with Tru Blu hoses. I even watched all the ads for you. Keep the videos coming.

    Based on what I have seen the fieldpiece pump in combination with the tru blue hoses is hands down the the best combo. Im still learning but I think it would work better with just a double tru blue hose direct to pump and not run through gauges with the joblink vacuum gauge. Let me know if Im wrong on that. There is a big jump in price in those pumps from the base 6cfm model to the 8cfm and 10cfm. I read some comment that most systems cant handle the 10cfms anyways but not sure what he was saying. If he was talking about the hoses/gauges or the AC system. I dont mind spending double for the 10cfms if I will see a big improvement but dont want to overspend if its not going to make a difference. Those tru blue hoses look like the single best upgrade from what I have seen even with a 6cfm pump they make a HUGE difference. The fact that the pump has all those ports is great for a double tru blur hose, The one down fall of the 3 hose tru blue kit is it looks like it takes awhile to set everything up with the tees and clamps which eats into the time savings of using it but the 2 hose system direct to pump with no man. gauges for a speedy connection and fast vacuum looks like a winner IMO. but I could be wrong

    I love my VP87 and she has been used a lot. I change the oil often, but Liquid Gold is good stuff. I have found the vacuum oil brands really makes a big difference.

      It was given to me actually, but I just updated the Amazon tool Link in the description 👍🏽 it'll be under Lights...that sounds like a good video to do, you just have to hook up one line that's 115v to one jumper and you just ground the others. I prefer to do it by the contactor, I avoid live wires. And thanks for the support 🙏🏽

    Hey cool video but I want to know where you got it or how you're able to get the Milwaukee packout to lock into the back of your torches like that. Is that a torch case that already comes with the packout female lock-ins or did you build something please tell me more I love that set up

    You don't find it a pain carrying all that around? (Considering how big it looks and having to carry extra hoses to put it to good use) Does it weigh about the same compared to the average vacuum pump? I'm guessing its all worth it in the end.

    • @ReliableHVACR
      @ReliableHVACR  Před 2 lety

      It's actually the same if not lighter than your normal pump. It's a little bigger yes but very compact, considering you get easy access ports and extra oil storage...And I personally hated oil changes on other pumps, easy to spill or overfill. This one makes it so easy 👍🏽

    Hello!!! Do you think the fieldpiece pump is better than the Appion TEZ 8 pump?

    • @ReliableHVACR

      Sorry haven't tried that one. This pump is easy to store and easy to change the oil

  • @HVACGUY
    @HVACGUY Před 2 lety

    Doesn’t that handle prevent easy storage?

    • @ReliableHVACR
      @ReliableHVACR  Před 2 lety +1

      Overall it's a little bit but it's very compact for what you get out of it. I keep it with my recovery machine, same handles.

    11:00 Preparing to braze. The inside of the piping to be brazed is filled with air. Steps should be taken to fill the piping and compressor with nitrogen to replace the air. Otherwise, the oxidation visible on the outside of the piping after brazing will also be inside the piping after brazing. This dirties up the system and the compressor oil. Not Good.

    • @ReliableHVACR
      @ReliableHVACR  Před měsícem
